- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I always wanted to be a writer, and was extremely fortunate to be hired by a magazine in California (I lived in Michigan) based upon a single article that I had submitted to that magazine.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
They often want to get their message across to the reader, but it's in rather nebulous form. As a consumer, writer and reader myself I help them to pull the various factors together to produce a coherent ad or message.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A motorcycle tour company in Europe contacted my editor and wanted some publicity. They said that if we would send a writer to take one of their tours and do an article about it, they would provide that writer a free trip. I was fortunate to be given the assignment, rode through Eastern Europe for two weeks with a tour group, and wrote up what I believe to be a very fair and honest article with many professional-quality photographs.
