FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm constantly updating my skills with certification programs, workshops, education at IMATS and the Makeup Shows and travel to other states and other countries as well. I am on several, traveling Makeup Teams and I teach for major companies like Dinair Airbrush and Benefit Cosmetics. That gives me up-to-date knowledge on trends, keeps my skills sharp and shows that I am experienced.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I am experienced with all cultures and skin tones, all ages, women, children and men. I perform professional makeup artistry services for special events to include bridal/bridal parties, proms and quinces, military balls, and more, and am called upon often for film/tv, commericial print work, runway/catwalk, celebrity and charity events. I teach one-on-one airbrush makeup workshops and traditional makeup application classes with easily duplicatable tips and tricks so that my clients can perform the same at home. I also have experience working with very mature women, teens and tweens and my most special customers who may be suffering from the negative affects of cancer treatment.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure to ask if your beauty provider is licensed in the State of California! This ensures that you are working with a professional that is complying with State Law and practices clean and sanitary standards. Many makeup artists in California will tell you that they don't need to be licensed -- this is true ONLY if working on set. Additionally, if you're a bride or Quince/Sweet Sixteen, be sure to ask for a Trial or Preview. Your special day is the, or one of the important events of your life and it's worth the expense (it comes with all my packages). A Makeup Artist must have a variety of base products so that they can perform corrective work if necessary. They must understand the particular needs of young and mature skin as well - matching your base is very important - ask about their experience. Ask to see their work and look at their reviews. If they are only on IG and don't have a professional website, they are NOT a professional.
