- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Not until I know what the taxpayers tax return consists of. Every return has the potential of many different scenarios, therefore, its best not to blanket quote. I do not like giving an estimate and then "adding fees" later, no one likes to be upsold.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?1) a clear understanding of what the taxpayer is needing and looking for. 2) an initial phone call before we even meet, so that we are both clear on the scope of work needing to be completed, and anticipated time frame. In case the client expects a time frame which I cannot possibly adhere to, so they may need to keep researching. 3) setup a free 30 min. consultation at my office.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have passed the exam to become an Enrolled Agent, a very intensive and tough 3 part proctored exam. We have continuing education requirements, annually, to keep our licensing and status, but since the tax laws are ever changing, we exceed the min. hours required every year.
