Garage Door Repair

They were great! They replaced my garage door motor within an hour, connected it to my car and even swept my garage. I did not want to spend the money, but I am glad that I did. Now I have a garage door that is reliable and under warranty. Thank you guys so much!!!

Great installation and service. Installer handled all parts of the project very professionally and completed the job very quickly. We have had no problems with the garage door or controls and we would recommend the installer to anyone.

I had a garage door opener installed. I did not have the 8 foot garage door extension kit so they had to come back. The guy was really cool. I recommend them.

The guy that came out gave me a quote to get a new door. His knowledge of the type of doors we might like was excellent if they do a great job on the installation of the door in a couple of weeks I will change my rating to five stars

Garage Door Repair

I did not have the work completed. I was quoted over the phone. I knew exactly what needed to be fixed, 2 springs needed. Was clear on the type of door I had too. The quote was for $200. When the tech arrives her said it was $500. The people I spoke with were polite and professional as was the tech but I was upset that I was quoted one price and that changed upon arrival.

Cheryl, Thank you for your honest input. I wanted to address the concerns you brought up in this review. The promotion that you were quoted is known as "The Big Deal." With that being said there are over 20 different size springs our technician's carry on their trucks. All pairings different for each and every garage door. This promotion covers standard size springs that we offer. Surely, if the type of door you had would have been compatible with these types of springs on promotion, you only would have been charged the $199. In your case in particular, it wasn't. Regardless of you telling us what "Type" of garage you have that doesn't help us over the phone. The technician's need to come out to the property, see how heavy your garage door is, then use their skills to adequately pair our spring options to your specific type of garage door. I am looking at the invoice and the amount we quoted you included additional hardware that needed replacing in addition to the springs as well. We apologize if you feel that you were quoted one price and changed upon arrival. In response to that, if your garage was compatible with the promotional spring offer then yes, it would have been that price you were quoted. Unfortunately, your door was not compatible with the standard size springs on promotion. Now, I hope you have a better understanding of the process entailed in replacing out the springs on your garage door. We in no way want to ever take advantage of our customers, but merely educate them, and give our professional recommendations. Hopefully in the end to earn your business. All this being said, we do hope you reconsider your perspective of our business, and give us the opportunity to take adequate care of your garage door. Sears Garage Doors 866-842-8402

    We are running a promotion to offer a "Free Service Call" to new customer. We run "Monthly Promotions" to help save you money. Please call for details.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    It starts with our highly educated customer service representatives in the office. They listen and answer all the questions from the consumer that are needed to best fit the technician for that job. At that point you will be meeting with you certified expert technician to do a complete 25 point safety inspection.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    All of our Sears certified technicians have been through a rigorous training program to serve you with the skills needed to fix the garage door right the first time.
