FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a free consultation for my new clients. It will be a stress free environment for which we go over goals, health history, and take a few posture/strength assessments. I work with the client to answer any questions they may have and before they leave I give a sample workout, to show what a normal session consists of.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a personal trainer certification theough the National Academy of Sports Medicine, as well as a Level 1 CrossFit trainer certification. NASM has a strong focus on corrective exercise for posture and injury prevention. I'm also in the process of getting a Corrective Exercise Specialist certification to further my knowledge of the body. I am also nearly finished with my degree in Health Science, which gives me a great understanding of how the body works inside and out. My direct training experience started when I served 4 years in the Army. I was a team leader that directly ran physical training every single morning for years. I would train 4-15 people at a time.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started doing this type of work in the Army. I was responsible for leading fitness training every morning Monday-Friday. I would work with 4-15 people at a time. I really started doing a more individualized approach, when I started noticing people getting injured. Not all of our bodies respond the same!
