This review does not fully compare to the actual experience of having Mimi as our wedding planner. My husband and I fell in love with her! I was referred to her by a friend a month or so before my wedding. You can imagine the details that needed to be done before that time frame. Not only did she take on the challenge of helping us, but went out of her way so our day was perfect. I live in concord, and she drove out 1 1/2 away to come meet with us several times. She kept good track of the things that still needed to be done. Her organization was phenomenal! Constant communication and support were there more than 100% (even for my emotional days) Besides the planning, she took care of the table centerpieces herself! Which were beautifully made with natural flowers on all 15-18 tables including our head table. Our guests, including vendors we hired were so impressed with her work, and most importantly by my husband and I. She found the best deals possible and made everything perfect yet affordable for us. Not only would we consider going through her all over again, but know we will continue to use her for future events and highly recommend her. We know that we didn't just find a good event/wedding planner, but a great friend that we will keep in touch with. Thank you again Mimi for helping us with our unforgettable perfect day!
Justin was amazing at my wedding!!! We had it at Centerville Estates and he was awesome. he showed up looking like James Bond, which was awesome, and played all the songs I requested. I had so much fun requesting songs and just chit chatting. he was very flexible in timing stuff like the cake cutting and the games. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about tons of different genes. I had tons of fun and I am so happy we picked Justin for our DJ. he is the absolute best! I would recommend Justin to anyone having an event that needs music. Rischelle
Prior to our meeting with Lura we were nervous, lots of questions running through our heads, how do we know this is the right person. Our meeting went better than we expected, she had us in her best interest and we just had good vibes, to top it off we had Fiji in common, We are from fiji and she has visited and loved our country and culture and traditions which was great because our wedding was going to be traditional. Lura is very positive, always checking in to see if there was something she could do to lift any weight for that day. Always smiling, and she always made sure we remembered that it was our day have fun and she would handle the rest. Our day ran so smoothly lura went above and beyond our expectations. We didnt feel worried and when we did she handled it. It was great having lura, our families loved Lura. Lura thank you for allowing us to enjoy our wedding day, your amazing. Pam, and her assistant Alex, were a godsend. I have been going through a lot, dealing with my mom's health issues and trying to plan my wedding at the same time. Pam stepped in about 5 months before the wedding and kept me on track, kept me organized, called me weekly to check in, and reassured me. I don't know what I would have done without her. She never tried to upsell me on vendors, she just made suggestions and was willing to work with me and my budget. I have received so many compliments about my beautiful wedding, how organized, and how on time everything was! I highly recommend Events, Etcetera for all your wedding planning needs!
Candace is amazing! She photographed my wedding and made it even more special than I could have imagined. She was so much fun and made even all the groomsmen comfortable in front the camera which is hard to do! I definitely recommend having Candace as your wedding photographer. You simply will not regret it!
We hired NK initially as our day of coordinator. We met with her and she told us about her experience with event design in Sri Lanka and how she was excited to be planning weddings again in the US. As she is building her business, her price was great for our little budget and she proved right away that she would go above and beyond just the day of. We liked her attitude - she is sweet but also very honest and direct, things we knew we would need from a coordinator on our wedding day. We kept in touch other the months with us passing over vendors as we signed them. She mentioned that Paradise Parkway designs events in addition to coordinating and that she could do the full decor and florals too. There were a couple of reasons we said yes - the first being that she showed us her portfolio and she does have a wonderful eye, the second being that our venue didn't include other services so it felt great to know everything was going to be taken care of (linens, decor...etc). We really liked her sketches of what the day could look like. She gave us multiple options and different price points and we worked together to find the right look. I'm not knowledgeable about flowers, so I told her my color palette and theme, and sent some pictures of other bouquets I liked. She provided a list of the flowers she was going to include, and what similar bouquets looked like. I truly felt like she understood our personality and what we wanted visually from the day. When the day arrived - we were blown away. The flowers were huge arrangements stuffed full of pale greens and huge blooms in shades of pink and white. Some were HUGE, like the ones at the altar - yet always elegant. The ones lining the aisle were ferns with tall delicate flower poking up. The bouquets were sprawling and they smelled incredible. Our reception hall was transformed, and I received compliment after compliment about how beautiful everything was. She definitely nailed the decor and very beautifully incorporated our personal elements - like lawn games, a candy buffet and letters made of succulents. She even set up the center pieces so that people could take them home afterwards. Our day was stunning thanks to NK at Paradise Parkway!
DJ Bobby was our DJ and MC for a wedding in San Jose in late January 2016. I met with him for a meeting/dinner before our wedding to see if he'd be a good fit for what I had in mind and left that first meeting with a good feeling that he'd do a great job. I shared my philosophy of what the DJ/MC does as a wedding (not just someone who plays music, but someone who quarterbacks the entertainment and schedule of the reception) and DJ B was on the same page. Also got to learn more about him as a person and found him to be a great guy. He was professional in his interactions and did a great job at our wedding reception. He played music that we requested during our dinner and dancing. He led our guests in some line dances (Cupid Shuffle, etc.) He was very proactive in his announcements of the upcoming schedule for the evening so guests knew whether they should step out of the dinner hall now or wait. I received many positive comments from my wedding guests about DJ Bobby. Also, DJ Bobby worked well with our wedding coordinators, photographers, and restaurant. I highly recommend DJ B, and if you do consider hiring him, I suggest chatting with him, getting to know his DJ/MC philosophy, and share yours as well.
Ron was a true professional, helpful and knowledgeable. He was open to our suggestions and you could tell that he wanted our wedding to be unique to us and really helped create our dream wedding.
Fantastic in every way. Veronica helped connect me with vendors, she guided me through the processes from advising with decorations, invitations, timeline, etiquette, layout, and every detail you can think of! Even though they are located in Chico, Veronica came out to Cloverdale (Northern Bay area) twice aside from the actual day of the wedding, which was seriously so awesome and very reassuring that she had seen the venue in person! She also became the main point of contact for me as we got closer to the day, which was extremely helpful, especially when it came to tricky to get ahold of vendors that were driving me crazy! She went above and beyond to help to make our wedding day go off beautifully in spite of the chaos and many many things that seemed to go awry last second. You can tell she has done this many times and knows her stuff! We are so grateful to her and her team of professionals! Absolutely would recommend working with the 530 Bride!
Christine Corey, first of all, is a wonderful person to work with. She has great talent and works her hardest at her job! She is throwing my baby shower and all I have seen is the invites so far but I can not even imagine how much better it is going to get. She has shocked the heck out of me! I HIGHLY recommend her!!! I was also at her wedding which she planned herself and it was just AMAZING! She puts great detail into her work which just gives it that much more and makes the event so much more special.
I would have to say Jamelia is excellent at what she does, she knows her job. She's a very fun, and open minded person. Getting to know her client first, is something she enjoys doing most, by doing this, she's able to do her job better. Jamelia is always thinking of new ways to set the mood right, and can definitely teach you how to put the spunk back into your relationship. I've always had a great experience with Jamelia, and look forward to having more.

Karri presided over our daughters first birthday godparent dedication and did an amazing job. She was professional and the ceremony was as touching as it was meaningful. Karri was punctual and required almost no direction at all it was great to have her take care of the ceremony and not have to stress over logistics!! Would highly recommend her for any and all ceremonial celebrations. She's a super fun party guest who took our ceremony as seriously as we did :0)
