I don't even know where to begin! Jose is an amazing caterer and I am so happy we hired him for our wedding this past Friday. When we were first tasting caterers food they all seemed metiocre but Joses was amazing! We hired him on the spot! Not to mention he was the most reasonable price! Then everyone was making me nervous saying that catered food is never as good when they have too cool it in large quantities (we had 180 people). When we got to the reception everyone was already eating appetizers and happy. When Jose spotted my husband and I he came up to us and told us he had made us each an appetizer plate and if we wanted it. Then he came up to me to make sure I wanted dinner served when I had originally asked. I did and he brought us the first 2 plates. The food was amazing! Just as good as I remember! Everyone was so pleased and kept talking about how the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding! That was exactly what I wanted! His bartender was amazing and all his staff was so friendly. The setup looked nice and professional. The drinks he brought were great and everyone was talking about how great the mint water was! Then I ordered cheeseburger sliders and French fries to be served late night and they were amazing! He even brought wings and everyone was so excited! They went fast and by the time I got over there everything was gone. Jose told me let me get your plates and pulled out two foil covered plates. He always thought of us first and without him I wouldn't have eaten. All day everything had hiccups and my rentals were late, everything was slightly wrong except Jose! He really came through and went above and beyond. I will definitely hire him again for any events and recommend him to the fullest!
Radish and Rose catered for my wedding on super short notice. The communication was easy, they assisted me with picking a fantastic menu and helped calm me down from the disaster of my previous caterer. The food was amazing the staff were on point and I couldn’t have asked for more. I would recommend them to anyone considering catering and event services and I will certainly hire them again! We live in Laguna Niguel, and Madkins Catering was on time and I remember saying to the waitstaff, "omg, there's still more food?! Needless to say there was so much food. Madkins Catering was upfront with me in the very beginning explaining how much of each appetizer or food item I'd actually be getting which is great. I think we adjusted the amounts a few times because I thought it was going to be too much food lol, and it ended up being still too much food.... But who's complaining? :-) My guests were very pleased with the meal and left on a very very full stomach. This company is very nice and professional and delivered exactly what I wanted. I forgot to do a review at the time of the event, but the event was about 2 weeks ago. Everyone please try them, the food is delicious and at a great price!

Susan prepared yummy finger foods for a paint night we hosted. This lady works hard!. Always on the move, making sure food was replenished and drinks were served. She also served as bartender and handled both jobs superbly. She suggested a special drink for the evening that was a BIG hit. Very yummy. She refilled drinks for everyone as they painted. Susan was great and I would definitely use Wild Thyme again!
San Francisco City Hall for a wedding reception has many rules and regulations as it is a government building and requires a lot of security and supervision. In addition to that, there isn't a kitchen on site so a tent is required as well as all rental equipment. Chef Mark and his group truly went above and beyond for our event. My husband does not like seafood at all but after our tasting, he was so impressed with the fish that he even considered having the fish as his entree for our wedding. Our guests were so impressed by our appetizers and dinner. We were assured restaurant quality and I wasn't surprised when all of our guests complimented us on how delicious the food was. It was catered specifically to us and Chef Mark and Roy spent time with us discussing what we would like for ourselves and our guests. Everything was tailored specifically to our celebration and that is truly a representation of us for the night. It was more than we could have asked for. We can't thank you enough for this. My initial concern was that Mark Kearney's Group is based from LA whereas our wedding in San Francisco but the communication was always frequent and Roy was very responsive and caring about our concerns. From start to finish they always assured us that they truly wanted to make sure our special night went without any concerns and they were on our side. Our event did not go without any bumps and when I found out from our wedding coordinator that a broken stove was delivered, I just couldn't believe that Chef Mark and his crew was able to deliver such wonderful meals to our guests under such a stressful situation. It's not the events that go flawlessly that are impressive but the ones that have a lot of obstacles that are impressive. I had absolutely no idea the kind of stress that must have been involved and our coordinator only told us afterwards so we had no idea on the day of. It is truly a mark of their professionalism. The thing is, I was already so impressed with all the other details that Chef Mark went out of his way to take care of for us. He made sure that a bottle of champagne was saved for us. When appetizers came around he specifically made sure my favorite came to me directly. When he flew up for our walk through, he took the time to take a picture of my husband and me because he was excited for us. We never requested any of these, but he just did them because he cares. His execution of the night was perfect as far as I am concerned and did not go unnoticed by ALL of our other vendors. EVERYONE was very impressed and I am so incredibly grateful and thankful for him and Roy and the rest of their team. You guys are amazing and we can't thank you enough!! We love you!
I decided to look for a caterer for my Mom's celebration of life and my internet search lead me to Thumbtack. After inputting my needs I quickly received a response back from Tonya at Sierra Madre Catering with a detailed quote and attached menu. When I called to speak with Tonya I immediately got a good vibe from her voice. She seemed excited and eager to help plan our event and made me feel comfortable that everything would be taken care of. I am so thankful I decided to use Sierra Madre for my event. We ordered appetizers and desserts and they arrived and set everything up, brought their own trash cans and kept the tables clean as people were done eating. The staff was professional and nice and their food was DELICIOUS! Many of our guests gave feedback that the food was great and they even ran out of business cards because a lot of people were interested in having their info. At such a difficult time with the passing of a loved one, these details are important but not ones you want to worry about yourselves and Tonya and Sierra Madre staff took that burden off my shoulders and I am so thankful for that. I will recommend them to anyone in need of a caterer for any event and if I could give more than 5 stars I most definitely would!! Thank you Tonya and Sierra Madre Catering!!
I have to qualify this review first by saying I have worked as a professional cook and have owned a catering business. So I have an eye for and know what works and what doesn't, what can be prepped beforehand without sacrificing quality, and what can be done on sight and off-site with the aim of making sure everything is properly expedited and comes out on time. When I arrived the table was set up nicely set up and decorated. However, we had previously informed Chef that we were going to be 13 and we would like two tables, as some people are uncomfortable with sitting at a table of 13 people. So we had to ask Chef to please separate the two tables. When Bridgette came the day before, my wife mentioned she wanted a table of 6 and one of 7, not two tables pushed together to make 13. There were also no cloth napkins, but paper napkins. I guess assuming that a request for "linens" did not include cloth napkins, only tablecloths. But I digress. Even though this was done in our home where we are well equipped, I still expect anyone coming to prepare food to come fully equipped to meet their needs without having to use the home equipment. This was not the case, as Chef used our Kitchenaid, tongs, and other items. As well, they did not have a serving platter for one of the hors'd'oeuvres. Furthermore, they had to use some of our silverware because they did not bring everything needed (spoons, forks). There were steak knives on the table when we were eating fish, and no other knives. I had no problem with this because, of course, I wanted the event to go smoothly. But other clients might not have been as flexible. Finally, they used all my kitchen towels and had them all wet, from I don't know what- but it's easy enough to bring your own hand towels. As well, because we used the plates on the table for hors'd'ouevres, they had to wash and prepare again for salad plates, as they had expected the hors'd'oeuvres to simply be finger food. Nonetheless, the hors'd'oeuvres-asparagus with prosciutto and chicken bites, or whatever they might have been-still require plates. This delayed serving. More forethought should have been given to how this was all going to go down. Personally, I would have brought the salad all prepped. Because it wasn't prepped, it meant a longer serving delay. The server didn't know the difference between wine and water glasses-some basic protocol needed. The food was excellent and I had several very positive compliments from the guests, this is where they shined, and it was served hot and fresh like it should be. We had a delicious shaved fennel salad with parmesan, and a main course of Blackened Sea Bass with a succotash and roasted potatoes. That is the beauty of preparing on-site. I say this with the caveat, as mentioned earlier, that a few things could have been prepped beforehand without sacrificing quality. This would have allowed the service to flow more quickly and not have such long delays between dishes. As Chef prepared the chocolate mousse on site, some people had to leave before dessert since it took well over 45 minutes between our main course and dessert. While we had agreed that I would supply the chocolate, it I had known it was going to take chef so long to prepare it, I would have suggested it be made beforehand. If I had done this lunch, I would have brought the mousse pre-made. They used up my whole bag of ice too-I would have brought ice. Finally, food left over was taken away and not left with us. I asked the server I f she was going to leave the food to me as she was walking out and she laughed uncomfortably and said no. My assumption is that the client paid for the food, they should get any leftovers. I give Kudos to the Chef for excellent food, but the service was uncomfortably slow and everyone noticed. Finally, the server was inexperienced. Overall, organization and attention to details were lacking. To end on a positive note, they did an excellent job leaving the kitchen just as the found it and were friendly and professional despite the hiccups mentioned. I didn't have to worry about anything. If you are looking for good food, Chef Mumsie does a great job. But please ask that they send you experienced servers, and make sure to point out every possible detail that you can think of, because in my experience, they did not have a checklist or form to check off what you do or don't need for an event.
Jesse and team was awesome! They are very professional and accommodating. The party was a blast due in part to their good food and service. The food was fantastic and I will definitely use them again.
Jordan is an excellent chef and caterer. He produces food that is way beyond the standard catering services. If you want cookie cutter catering go with someone else. If you want really great food at a great price stop on by or use his catering.
I planned a personal cooking lesson for my boyfriend's birthday, and couldn't have asked for a better experience! Chef Keith took time to get to know exactly what we were looking for, and he was flexible in creating our personalized 3 course menu. He showed up to my house on time, and was prepared with all of the food and cooking tools. He even cleaned up afterwards and left my kitchen spotless. The food was amazing! Chef Keith is very knowledgable about cooking. I would highly recommend hiring Chef Keith! It was absolutely worth it!!
Peter, was very knowledgeable about food, ingredients and flavor! We would without a doubt hire him again. He and his assistant chief set up a wonderful grill in the back and cooked food right there on the spot.

We asked our friends and family members who had recently been married what they thought the most important part of the wedding was, and they unanimously said "THE FOOD". From the moment we requested a quote Bill's attention to detail made it a wonderful and memorable experience. We were provided with and absolutely delicious lunch at our tasting; where Bill customized our menu to fit our unique wedding theme. The staff was friendly, informative, professional and genuinely warm and kind. Bill's help however moved beyond his fabulous food. For any and EVERY coordination mishap, he was there with creative and inventive solutions. His staff went above and beyond, even assisting in set up and decoration. We were truly overwhelmed by their generosity and their willingness to be of assistance. On our wedding day, as we ran from the car to the venue to avoid the terrible storm; we were greeted by Bill with a mini buffet for the bridal party so that we would have a chance to actually eat at our wedding. To say the food was amazing is an understatement. I cannot describe how delicious it was or how beautifully and artfully arranged. I truly cannot do it justice. When asked, our guest said that hands down, it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. Our menu included custom flank steak sliders with asian slaw, a variety of sushi, mini ribs, chicken skewers, grilled vegetable stuffed crepes, procuitto wrapped asparagus, endive spoons filled with tabouleh, chicken sate, and so much more. The service was impeccable and after everything was done, the staff cleaned and left everything immaculate. Most importantly, Bill was sensitive and understanding of our situation. You see , we were two brides. Bill and his staff were shining examples of what it is to treat everyone with equality and dignity and respect. We were afraid of vendors not wanting to work with us and Bill took all that anxiety away. Through his vast network he found amazing and supportive vendors who were ready to celebrate with us and were empowered by our decision to get married. We cannot thank Bill enough for the many kindnesses he bestowed on us and we cannot wait to eat at his amazing restaurant again. - C & A

He was on time, curtious and the food was delicious. I did run into a situation where the orginal order was not met, but he actually did make it up and promise to give me a discount on my next function. Catering made easy. Tuition Bites offers appetizers, entrees, and desserts all made by them. No reheated food or prepackaged desserts. You can tell the quality of the food is more of a homemade cooked meal. That alone made me fall in love. Their staff was really friendly and I look forward to planning another event with them serving us their great food.
We hired Unique Luxury Catering to prepare a family dinner for 8 for my wife's birthday on our patio at Pelican Hill.Chef Brad prepared a fabulous meal topped off by a scratch made carrot cake that was divine.The reduction sauce with vanilla bean added was incredible to plate everything in. This was a great meal,for a great celebration in a great setting. Unique will deliver a great experience for whatever need your occasion requires.Thanks Steve for providing a great experience !
