Lisa Mozzini-McDill
Introduction: From San Diego State University, Lisa Mozzini-McDill graduated with honors, a BA in Graphic Communications, and a distinction in art. For more than ten years, She worked as an illustrator, graphic artist, and portrait artist in San Diego. Today, she balances family with commissioned portraits in colored pencil and oil, plein air landscapes in oil and instruction.
In addition to teaching en plein air and in her studio, she has demonstrated for various art groups. Lisa has carried on her education with workshops by John Budicin, Elizabeth Tolley, Micheal Obermeyer, Joseph Todorovitch and Ken Auster. She was featured in the artist's spotlight of The Press-Enterprise (July 14, 2008), and has been published in Orange County's best magazine.

I have been taking instruction in landscape oil painting from Lisa for 4 years now. She is everything you could want in a teacher. She has changed the way I look at things and opened up a challenging new world.

Lisa is a terrific artist and a valued teacher who has won numerous awards for her work. She came to take art lessons from me. It was clear that she didn't really need lessons. When I moved away I suggested that my students go to her for lessons.

Lisa is an excellent instructor. She is very knowledgeable about composition, color mixing, and perspective in regards to painting on canvas, and also offers a fun, patient approach while teaching. Here drawing skills are just phenomenal. I have been taking lessons from Lisa for the past 5 years, and I learn something new every time we adventure out to paint. You will have a wonderful time with her. Her paintings are beautiful, and she will enhance your abilities no matter what level you start at. I'm always grateful for the time I get to spend with her.
