Tony was fantastic with my son. Tony made my son feel more confident and eager to learn. He was able to break down the lessons for a first time player while giving the encouragement to want to learn more! Top Notch INSTRUCTOR!
My 88 year old aunt recommended Sophie when she heard that I was looking to take French lessons. She has been a student of hers for years. My girlfriend and I started taking lessons with Sophie about 18 months ago. We recently returned from a 10-day vacation in France and we were thrilled with how much our French had improved. We were able to speak to the locals in French and we both understood and were understood by them. Sophie is very reliable, punctual and is very reasonably priced. She makes the lessons fun and with enough variety that we always look forward to them.
My daughter has had one french lesson with Catherine. Catherine did her very best to accommodate us, being that we live so far from each other. She was engaging and friendly with my teenage daughter and helped put her at ease for her first lesson with her. She is very knowledgable and was able to help my daughter start remembering the things that she had forgotten and shared some new information as well. We look forward to continuing our lessons with Catherine.
My elementary school aged daughters have been taking German lessons from Christine Hébert for over a year. She is an outstanding language teacher who is devoted to her students. She uses creative approaches to both challenge and inspire. For example, she plays games, creates scavenger hunts and uses our dollhouse to help with vocabulary and make learning this difficult language fun. She created a contract (with a friendly smile) to ensure they follow through with their homework. She challenges them to master complicated grammatical concepts and gives European Language exams to assess and motivate progress. She even bakes Swiss and German delicacies with them (in German of course). They look forward to her lessons because she takes such care to teach and challenge them at their individual levels. I cannot recommend her enough: she is truly a rare find!!
I typically meet with Cara once a week(schedule permitting) for French lessons. We discuss everything from grammar, native phrases, business, and most importantly I feel prepared for my trip to France. I highly recommend Cara for anyone who is a Francophile, planning a trip to the City of Lights, or someone who wants to enhance their knowledge of the language. Better yet, Cara can do lessons in Spanish, Italian, as well as piano. She is a great tutor, kind and patient and you will find your time spent with her to be rewarding!! I highly recommend!
I have taken private lessons with Evelyn to refresh my advanced conversational skills. Evelyn comes prepared to our session, and always make sure to take you out and over your comfort zone. She makes the session interesting by introducing reading material on different subjects, discussing them with open end questions, analyzing the grammar and applying lessons learned to your own individual situation. She makes learning fun and challenging at the same time!

Excellent Spanish classes, I will recommend it to friends. It helped me in speaking, writing and understanding Spanish. The teacher is great, responsive, patient and very flexible. I have learned so much Spanish since I started. The lessons are fun, diverse and interesting!
I have been told by my former pupils that I excite a high degree of interest in subjects such as grammar that are often dry and boring in their presentation. This is perhaps because as a pupil, I myself found them dry and boring.
My name is Stephen Riley, and I am a traveling music and English teacher. Along with my wife, Annelisa Riley, I have been working for the past two years to hone in on what makes the English language easy for some and hard for others. After working in China for a year teaching English to students ranging from age 1-12, Annelisa and I began dreaming and scheming of ways to improve the process of learning English while having a lot of fun. Both Annelisa and I have been deeply moved by music and involved in the creation of music from early in life. Now, we believe we have found a way of teaching that speaks for both us as teachers and you as students. Everyone loves music, and everyone needs to communicate to have long-term success. Our curriculum uses classic folk music and contemporary songs to bring the student deeper into the English language. By focusing on the poetic lyrics of folk music, we are able to bring the student a more compulsory understanding of how to form sentences and adequately express themselves. Then we begin working with the student on learning to play some of these songs, focusing on guitar chords, strumming patterns, and for the more experienced students, harmonica playing. Finally, we work with the student to create an original piece of music in English that they can be proud to call their own work of art. Riley School of American Folk Music is not just about learning to speak the English language. It is about learning to create.
I am originally from South America and have an education at the University of Washington as a romance language major. I enjoy helping others to learn Spanish using the Capretz Method. You learn the language as a child learns to talk. It is fun and efficient.
My name is Saint Cyr. I am from France. I speak French at high level. I'm flexible. We can always find an arrangement to study. I like to smile.

I have lived and taught English abroad in Costa Rica and Brazil, as well as traveled throughout Europe and South America. I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. For the past couple years, I have been teaching kids classes (as well as tutoring adults) anything from creative writing to art, Spanish and geography. I am a very enthusiastic and creative person, which helps me bring very unique and fun activities to class. I always accommodate my lessons based on the student's level and specific need or interest just like for example, if you need to learn English for business or work or perhaps you need to learn some conversational Spanish for traveling. Everyone is unique so I like to make all of my lessons unique as well. No matter what, we always have a good time!
