Introduction: I am a Professor of Psychology and having been teaching full-time for over 8 years. I teach courses in Developmental and Cognitive Psychology, Theories of Personality and Psychopathology. I have been trained in traditional psychotherapy as well as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I was born in New Delhi, India and have been practicing Hinduism my entire life. My passion for integrating spirituality into my clinical work led me to further my studies in Hindu philosophy by studying Raja Yoga Meditation, the study of Soul Consciousness and Self-Realization. I am very interested in sharing my knowledge of Eastern Philosophies on Healing and Transformation from Hindu and Buddhist perspectives. Due to my exposure to Ancient Eastern philosophy at a very young age and my training in Western Psychology, my eclectic studies are balanced in the Sciences and the Ancient Truths. By integrating both philosophies, I have created a blend of Eastern and Western healing modalities that are truly unique. I truly enjoy helping people heal prior traumas, grow and evolve in the process and awaken to their souls true purpose.
