FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attend seminars provided by manufacturers and suppliers at least twice per year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My wife called a repairman to fix our refrigerator when it was making a horrible noise. He cleared away some ice and charged $200! Two weeks later, the problem returned. I decided this was something I could take care of myself. I started taking classes and was able to permanently fix the problem.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Always check with BEAR, the Bureau of Electronics and Appliance Repair for California, to make sure that the provider is licensed and that their license is clear. I also recommend checking with the BBB, Better Business Bureau, for complaints and a high rating.
