After 23 years in our home, my wife and I finally made the decision to upgrade our master bathroom. There was a MASSIVE bathtub/shower that took up a lot of space and neither of us like baths. So we wanted to remove the tub and install a shower unit. In addition, we really wanted to upgrade the overall look, including fixtures, lighting, john, etc. After getting designs and estimates from several contractors and not feeling terribly satisfied by any of them, we contacted Andy Fernandez at Adval Construction in Martinez. We hit it off right away. Andy understood what we were looking for and what we could get done on our budget. He worked with us every step of the way from the design to completion. He took us to his supplier and showed us the literally hundreds of options out there, and rather than letting us get anxious over the decisions, he was able to use his knowledge in design to guide us to the things he thought we would be most satisfied with. And he wasn't wrong. From Day 1, his crew was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and informative. Any questions we had were promptly answered by Debbie, who handled scheduling for them. She patiently explained how each step of the remodel would go and answered all our questions. And the crew was really unobtrusive. We were afraid there would be a lot of noise that might freak out our cats, but quite the contrary. One of our cats actually liked to watch them work! So, to conclude, if you are thinking about remodeling any room in your home, I cannot recommend Andy and Adval Construction any more highly.

I was extremely nervous about choosing the right company for my bathroom remodel. Adval Construction did an amazing job! They were courteous and professional. They communicated throughout the project. They arrived daily as promised until the project was completed. They have a very high level of integrity and have certainly earned my trust. We remodeled the “wet area” in our bathroom. We asked a few other companies before choosing Adval Construction, but we are so happy we went with their team! I was immediately impressed with their professionalism and timely responses. Andy contacted us first and he was so easy to talk to and explain things. He told us exactly how things would happen and be worked out. The responsiveness from the entire crew is top notch! We had to get a permit through the city because it is an HOA community. But Andy made it stress-free and was transparent through it all. I love the outcome of our bathroom. The photos don’t do it justice. I highly recommend Adval Construction for your next at home or business, small or big project.

When I needed to do an emergency kitchen remodel due to
water damage and exuberance of a local remediation company, I selected Adval due to their full-service contractor capability, reputation for quality, and willingness to work with me and my budget. Michael Yugo was particularly helpful, giving me insight and ideas as to how to approach fixing the red-oak floor, torn-up cabinets, drywall, plumbing, countertop, and kitchen cabinets. The job was started promptly and completed on time, with activity continuous throughout (unlike some contractors who might leave your job-site idle for weeks).
I am very pleased with the result and care they took, and would consider them first for any additional new work.

We used Adval to refresh our guest bathroom. Andy provided the pricing quotes and helped me visualize the new look. He was always responsive and answered any questions. Brett came in and did a wonderful job on making the upgrades. He was very detailed and identified a couple of issues which he quickly resolved.
