- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer both "On-Location" Only (For now! New Studio Info TBA) On-Location Appointments: The Thumbtack quotes are for "On-Location" services only, which is when the artists travel to you. There is a minimum travel fee of $50. Depending on the location, this may be more or less. In-Studio Appointments: New Studio Info TBA! Trials vs Consultations: The consultation starts every appointment, including trials. This is the time where you and your artist discuss what you'd like to see in your customized look. During the consultation, we may ask for reference pictures of the makeup, color palette, or outfit for your occasion. A trial is a type of makeup appointment, typically before the wedding, in order to see the look before committing to it.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every appointment begins with a consultation. We recommended you bring a reference picture of the makeup look you'd like to achieve. Every person has a different eye and, therefore, one person's "natural look" might be another person's "glam look". A picture helps you and your artist determine a baseline for your customized look. Once you have determined the look you want, your artist will prep your skin. Depending on the condition of your skin, your artist may suggest to do a quick oxygen mask to help brighten and hydrate. Then we'll start with the eyes to make for easy clean up, then complexion perfection. Contour, lips, setting spray finish your like.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are HD, camera-ready trained by brands like Smashbox, Urban Decay, and Makeup Forever. We have full knowledge and experience with all mainstream makeup brands! Life-like complexion and enhanced beauty is our passion. You will never look or feel like you are wearing caked on, mask-like makeup. We are in-process of aqcuiring our esthetician and microblading licenses. Favorite brands for photo shoots: NARS, Becca, Smashbox, Makeup Forever, Chanel, Marc Jacobs. These brands provide little to no flashback, and provide lasting, beautiful skin in print work which translates to real life, as well.
