- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?My pricing system is based upon a minimum wage of $45/hr. However, I will try to give a full price estimate of what a customer's project as a whole will cost. Then I require 50% down payment, 25% just prior to the 2nd draft and then the remaining 25% payable upon completion of the project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?My typical process for working with a new customer is to first confirm that I understand what their need is. By perception-checking I can make sure I understand exactly what it is the new customer needs, and then make sure I have the skills to meet those needs. Once I know I have the skills to meet the needs of a customer, I can provide an estimate of what it will cost. Given the state of the current economic trends, I do what I can to flex to the customer's budget whenever possible. Once we agree on a price for my services, I typically request 50% of my fee up front, then 25% just before the 2nd draft and then the remaining 25% upon completion. With some projects it is difficult to forecast the amount of time it will take to complete a project. With these types of projects I work on a retainer basis in $200.00 deposit increments.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I was graduated by California State University, Fullerton, with a Master's degree in Speech Communications, specializing in Human Communication Behavior Studies (including teaching, academic writing, speech writing, interpersonal communication, training communication and small groups communication). I also have a Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications with a minor in Music, as well as an Associate's degree specializing in music. I am a Certified Private Music Teacher, specializing in voice, as well as a Certified MIDI Musician. I have 7 years experience teaching academic argumentation and persuasive research writing online for the University of Phoenix. I taught Human Communication Studies 101 for California State University Fullerton for 1 year. This course also included speech writing and academic writing using APA style formatting.
