FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are $45 for 30 minute sessions. Depending on number of sessions and how many students, price may be negotiated. I'm open to discussion! Private swim lessons are pricier than traditional group lessons. My prices include the benefit of me coming to you, working around your schedule to the best of my abilities, attention is 100% on one student at a time, and I genuinely care about your results!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I assess the student's level of familiarity and comfort with the water. Then I take time to ensure that student's know how to be safe around the water and can float. Finally, kick perfection and stroke technique are worked on concurrently, and we progress to the five swimming strokes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a trained lifeguard and have years of experience practicing first aid and CPR. I was also a competitive swimmer for 6 years and learned technical teaching strategies through courses at Cal Poly Pomona.
