We made the decision last minute to hire a choreographer for our first dance. Crystal was able to choreograph a dance we could learn quickly and it was beautiful. Working with her was a ton of fun and her pricing was very reasonable. I would recommend her to anyone needing or wanting dance lessons.
They exceeded our expectations. She is an outstanding teacher. We are still receiving dance lessons. Bob & Carolyn Forston
My wife and I started taking dance lessons with Alexis about one month before our daughters wedding two and a half years ago. Although we had no dance experience before we started, Alexis got us sufficiently prepared so that we were able to dance with some confidence. After the wedding we continued our lessons at Alexis urging and after about 18 months she convinced us to compete in the newcomer amateur couples division which was quite an accomplishment considering how uncoordinated we were at the start. Since then we competed in a couple more competitions under Alexis expert guidance. She is an amazing instructor who seems to know every dance style and every detail of footwork and body position. Needless to say she is an accomplished dancer with an incredible flair and personality on the dance floor. Even though she has been our only teacher I have been able to observe other instructors with their students and her teaching style is far superior to anyone Ive seen. Its obvious she enjoys both teaching and dancing. Her students range in age from young to old, at various ability levels. She has even taught students with physical disabilities, showing how accomplished and professional she is. If anyone is even just considering taking lessons they should take at least one lesson from her and theyll be hooked. Shes funny, inspiring, and a perfectionist, but not in a heavy handed way. I cant imagine taking lessons from anyone else!!
Shawn and Katie are not dance instructors, they are miracle workers. They were patient, enthusiastic, flexible, and had tons of adaptability to my learning needs. I look forward to scheduling future dance lessons with them.
Mark was an amazing teacher with great energy! I hired Mark for a Salsa lesson for my birthday party. Mark was amazing, being able to teach the people in my small group who some never danced Salsa, some have danced casually in their own Latin country, and some who have taken basic lessons before. He was able to help the beginners while still being able to challenge the ones who were more familiar. Mark's energy, patience, and professionalism is what made my party. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
My husband and I wanted to take dance lessons for a wedding we will be attending. Shannon Allen has been great! She has worked with our schedules, been on time, has emailed me with tips and suggestions, and she has made this fun for a "nervous" dancer :)
My children and I have been part of the studio family for over 4 years. We love our instructors and their vast knowledge and experience! The classes and lessons are fun and the teachers push for you to do your best!
Arianna is a great dance instructor. She was very prompt in her communication to me and was able to choreograph a dance with very short notice. I enjoyed my session with her and had a lot of fun learning my dance for my husband on our wedding day. She was very helpful and open to making changes that I needed or wanted. I highly recommend her to anyone in need of dance lessons!
Philippe is a patient French tutor and makes the lessons fun. He is flexible and responds to my requests when I want to focus on something specific.
Charla was my Salsa teacher when I was new to the scene. I really mean it when I say that she cares so much about her students and she's truly dedicated to helping them learn. She knows her stuff when it comes to Salsa and even has lots of wise tips to offer to new comers. Ladies, just ask her for a demonstration on what to do of you fall down. Lol don't tell her I told you! I was really sad to see her leave our studio as she's not an excellent teacher, but a wonderful friend. I know that whatever studio she teaches at now will be great, because she's awesome!
One of my first teachers- made me love the sport and I still use the things I learned to this day. So many years later after taking lessons with so many people, I realize how truly professional he was and how much heart and soul he continues to put into his students. Aside from personal talent, he has abundant knowledge for the art of dance. 11/10 teacher, friend, supporter.
Working With Sam Allen was the most amazing experience. Sam gave me private Hip Hop dance lessons and was phenomenal. He was encouraging, patient, and pushed me to my highest potential. Sam was accommodating, professional, and made me feel like a super star. He teaches at your pace and to your ability. I learned so much and had so much fun at the same time. I highly recommend Sam to anyone of all ages and levels of experience. There is no better teacher out there.
Adrienne is an amazing dance instructor. Of course, she can teach you the basics, but what sets her apart is her ability to recognize your strengths and weaknesses and works with each. She clearly understands the nuance of dancing, foot work, weight shifts and timing, and how important they are to become the kind of dancer you want to be, should you want to compete professionally or just feel comfortable on any dance floor. She she has the ability to explain clearly and concisely what she wants you to do and how to get there. Just take one dance lesson with her, and you will never want anyone else to teach you. I guarantee it.
Artemi was my best instructor. He showed me the basic steps, literally from scratch. Rumba, Salsa were my favorites. He helped me to feel confident with myself and come back the next day. We combined a bit of theoretical with practice. Since the First day he made feel like I was the best dancer.
I couldn't be happier finding Dance Daly Ballroom, not only for my immediate need for help with my Cha-Cha dance moves because I'm doing a choreographed dance with my son (the mother-son dance), but because I want to learn ballroom for fun, confidence, for my new 2nd career (trying to get into Commercials, and ballroom dancing is great on the resume), so after this wedding, I'm definitely going to join! Both Sveta, the studio manager and her husband Jason, the owner, are so kind, warm and welcoming. Jason was my instructor at my first intro (free) lesson, and he was so patient and helpful and professional - I felt comfortable, not nervous at all, and he shared a variety of tips to help me remember my steps, plus gave me plenty of positive reinforcement when I "got it" right! I really appreciated the package deal he gave me, with a first-time customer discount, so I could afford to take 5 lessons between now and the wedding in 3 weeks! Check them out. It's an awesome studio.
Had a blast learning how to salsa with Jenn. She explained the steps thoroughly, she had a great personality and made our dinner party that much more fun!
I've booked Ally for a couple 1-on-1 classes and will continue to do so! She has such a fun energy, is soooo patient and encouraging. I'm really shy and a bad dancer, but the way Ally teaches really is empowering. She can break down things in a way that is understandable, to even those who are both musically and physically coordinately challenged. Also, I really like what she brings to the table. She has a lot of different playlists/music styles to introduce you too, and gives you a very broad approach on to dancing so that you can comfortably experiment with a lot of things. She has a lot of integrity as an artist, so she won't recycle other people's dances. Instead, she'll work with you to not only learn the basics, but do something fresh, fun, and unique. You'll never walk from her lessons feeling like you did someone else's work. Rather you'll get the feeling of accomplishment of doing something new, and it almost feels like yours. She really helps you connect you with that budding artist inside of you! Really, she has a fun attitude, and you can learn a lot of life things from her through dance, and she's someone who is a wonderful listener. She can provide you some guidance on and off the dance floor. I really recommend Ally for a well-rounded experience. I know you'll love her as much as I do!
Hi! My name is Darren Wong and I am a member of the Kinjaz from NBC's World of Dance Season 1. With over 14 years of dance experience, I pride myself on sharing the knowledge I have been fortunate enough to learn with dancers of all skill levels. Most dance instructors have no organization to their courses and lessons plans for their individual students. I believe that this "random" lesson plan type of teaching is very unproductive and not beneficial for the students. If the students are not using what they learned from the previous lesson, then they are not growing as dancers. I love helping students reach the goals that they have set for themselves. As long as my students are having fun and progressing in their dance skills, I couldn't be happier.
Having had the opportunity to be a student of dance at the Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Pasadena CA., I can honestly say that JD Davis is an outstanding professional dance teacher who loves what he does! JD works patiently with his clients and gets to know them on a personal level in order to work with them more effectively. He is passionate about his craft and knowledge of dance. JD helps his clients learn and fine tune the choreography of any genre of dance be it, Ballroom, Fox Trot, Swing, Samba, Merengue, Salsa, to name just a few. JD was often requested as a teacher at our studio as he is approachable, friendly, professional, respectful, encouraging and hard working. What I loved most about JD was his sincere care and desire to make each of his students achieve their dance goals. JD is a promoter of good health and well being. He often encourages his students to set high standards for themselves and he lets his students know he will be right next to them every step of the way. If you ever see him dance you might easily understand why we, his students, all wanted to look like him on the floor! Smooth, with that touch of perfection! So Yes, I highly recommend JD Davis as your next dance teacher and someone you can trust to be available, punctual, and someone who eventually becomes unforgettable and helps you attain a greater sense of pride in your future endeavors involved in the realm of dance. ------------Sandra D. Awesome place for kids to learn and master the art of music... My daughter took guitar, piano and voice lessons... Unfortunately we had to move and she can no longer attend... I wish they would open a location near Riverside so my daughter could continue with her art education... If you're looking for professional and affordable music classes for your kids then Piano Place Music and Arts Center is the right place for them. I am happy that my daughter had the opportunity to be a student at this family owned music school and I hope she can come back in the near future..... Beautiful family and very nice/professional teachers!
