Introduction: I don't just walk dogs, I run them! I am a professionally trained dog walker who has taken walking to the next level. I take dogs to the most beautiful trails for our runs I worked as a Youth Program Director for 14 years. We provide services to homeless, foster, and special needs youth. I loved my work, but I got burned out. I turned to running as "therapy" and took my dog with me. I love running and I love dogs, it's a perfect match!

Our dog is so happy to see Laura! And Laura takes such good care of our dog! And when my dog comes home, she is tired for the rest of the day! Laura is on time and communicates well with us. We trust that our dog is in good hands. Couldn't be better!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I charge $35 for my Monday, Wednesday, Friday clients. I pick up the dogs in San Francisco and then run them for 8-10 miles. I charge $25 for my Tuesday, Thursday clients. I pick up the dogs in Oakland and then run them for 6 miles.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

When a potential client contacts me, I set up a "meet and greet" at the client's home or wherever is most convenient for him/her. I then spend up to an hour getting to know the owner and pet. I get the history of the dog -behavior, training etc. If I think the dog may be a good fit for my group, I take the dog on a test run at no charge. After the run, I connect with the owner to let them know if the fit is a good one or not.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I graduated from the DogTec academy. DogTec is 30 hours worth of training in animal behavior, how to manage your pack of dogs, pet First Aid and CPR, and basic dog training.
