These guys are awesome! They communicated well, worked quickly and were very professional. They put up some slatwalls in my garage and it looks great! I would hire them again in the future.
I had an exterior garage wall that needed major repairs. Matt came around assessed the project explained exactly how he was going to carry out the job, came back and got it done at a time that suited my schedule. Matts work was clean, fast, and to a super high standard. Matt is now carrying out some other projects and I would highly him.
Had some rot around the side entrance to my garage. I could see that it went beyond just the door frame. Working six days a week made Sunday the only time I could be around. No problem for Fred. Came over punctually, had all the necessary tools and material ready to go. We had spoken about the job in length before, and so he even had a new door ready to go on the first trip out. Replaced the door, frame, and a portion of the mud sill. He did it all from the inside, so there was no extensive repair on the siding. He had the whole thing done in about 4 hours. He was going to come back once the sheetrock mud dried and finish painting the wall and trim, but he had already saved me so much time and money I felt guilty. I like to paint anyhow, so I just did it myself the next day. Great job!
Pros: Jasper was prompt in responding, punctual, friendly, and completed the work quickly. I was impressed that he finished this project in one day; whereas other contractors seemed to indicate it was more work and more difficult. I would hire him again. Some areas he can improve: There were a couple of minor areas that were knicked on our kitchen island that I didn't notice until cleaning up. Also, I think he could have done a little better cleaning up the island- wiping down the cabinet fronts that had a light layer of dust (I did this myself). Finally, I gave him a box of stain & top coat that the previous owners left to us. He applied them but I noticed they didn't leave the counter shiny, like the finish we had before he sanded. After Jasper left, my husband realized we were missing the water sealant coat which we had in the garage. So now we are applying this coat ourselves to make the island water- proof and give it the same shine. This isn't totally Jasper's fault since I gave him the supplies but I would have liked if he would have noted that something seemed to be missing or off (or given his recommendations on what he would have stained/sealed it with to make sure the wood stayed water proof.) Overall, I'm happy with the work.
Max replaced my kitchen faucet, and it was a great experience. He was on time, really knowledgeable, and very friendly - he explained what he was working on and how to troubleshoot issues in the future. This was not an easy job, as our building has had all sorts of oddball repairs over the years - old, inoperative valves and pipes remain in place and complicate repair efforts. None of it bothered him - he remained upbeat throughout the process. I highly recommend Max for your plumbing needs!
Brian did a office remodeling for me including demolition of a whole room, removing many built-in cabinets, rewiring, and finishing new walls. He mostly worked alone, but his work was meticulous. Brian is one of very very few contractors whom I can actually trust. (I have built a 8,000 s.f. house among other building projects, so I have experience with many contractors.) Brian will do what he promised, at the price he promised, within the time frame he promised. Highly recommended for all remodeling work. Thank you, Brian, for a job well done.
Richard did a fantastic job building our fence. It looks amazing. Quality contractor, very trustworthy.
We had a leak from our stall shower into the garage. Several contractors gave us quotes for work that seemed unreasonable. Troy Coleman was the last on our list of contractors who had replied to us with a quote. Just when I beginning to loose hope, I decided to called him and I am so glad I did, Troy- the plumber (not Troy Coleman the owner) showed up at our house. He was very courteous, willing to explain what needed to get done and fixed the problem. We were so impressed that we even hired him to change a toilet. Troy the plumber even came to Home Depot with my wife and I to pick a toilet for us. I think we found our new plumber, one that knows what he is talking about and one that treats his customers like his own.
I did a full home remodel with Rudy. He is an awesome contractor to work with. He has a team that is well skilled and hardworking. I have very good attention to detail, some would call me a perfectionist. Rudy worked with me to get the remodel quality that I wanted without going over my budget. I have never been able to communicate via e-mail but he always answers my phone call. My suggestion is to just call him and talk to him directly on getting a quote and any issues that come up during the remodel. Rudy even went out of his way to build my kitchen cabinets and closets because I purchased them from IKEA, for the original agreed upon price. I don't like the cheap cabinets from the Chinese stores. It comes fully assembled but I'm not impressed with the quality. In summary, I would hire Rudy and his team at CaMex again for any remodel work I need.
Ricky did a great job adding some additional storage and a workstation in our garage/laundry area, which required re-framing, painting, and some carpentry work. He was easy to work with, a great communicator, able to do the work in a timely manner and we are very happy with the results. We would hire him again and recommend him highly!
Ryan's energy and efficiency made the project get completed quickly. He did a great job building 3 short stair railings on the deck and garage steps. I would hire him again for small building projects. Very friendly and the family dog liked him and didn't bark at him like she usually does with strangers! Trustworthy and helpful.
We had Ryan over yesterday to repair 3 interior doors in a very old and actually historic San Franciscan Victorian house. In addition to the three interior doors, Ryan painted the front door which had also just been replaced. His attention to detail was great, there were constant adjustments to make sure everything fit, latched, matched, didn't drag, looked great, etc. His response was prompt, he replied almost immediately and was available to start the very next day. He came prepared for the job, from start to finish. Ryan is very up front and fair in terms of compensation. You will have zero issue with the transparency and fairness of his bids. It should also be noted that this is a very old building. The areas where the door hinges connected to the wall/door frame were extremely dilapidated, the wood was old and and over drilled. It was like putty. But Ryan rocked it. Not only did Ryan pay close attention to the style of the Victorian building and matched the details perfectly, his finished product was seamless. You can't even tell that work had been done. There wasn't even dust on the floor. It was legit, honest good work. 100% recommend.
Yuri was outstanding -- he was reasonably priced, he did really good work, he always fully cleaned up after himself, and he left us entirely satisfied on two separate projects. First, he's excellent at accomplishing small jobs for a reasonable hourly rate. He leveled a door that had been sticking, re-grouted part of our kitchen back-splash, fixed door hinges that had been squeaking, and more. Second, he did a great job framing and installing a door and surrounding sheet rock to create a new room in our house. We needed the door to match a door across the hall from it identically, and as you can see from the pictures, Yuri did so nearly flawlessly. Indeed, I wouldn't be able to tell which was the original and which one Yuri added if I didn't already know. He was also extremely patient with our project when it was delayed a few weeks because Home Depot delivered the wrong kind of door, he made minor changes when we requested them, and he handled drawings and permitting with the city. He did all of this for an extremely fair price. We'll be recommending him to any friends with similar work to be done in their homes.
Did a lot of work on the outside of the house due to dry rot.as well as the garage replacing he sidings. He also put new gutters on the roof, replacing .the decking outside my bedroom due to dry rot as well as the stairs leading to the deck below.dded outside lights on the garage. He painted the house ,doors and trim.and did a number of small jobs he say that needed to be done.Shaz did a beautiful job and took no shortcuts. I would recommend him without hesitation.
I have only good things to say about Refresh & Build. They treated me with respect and operated with the highest level of professionalism right from the time I made the first call for a quote to when they worked on the interior and exterior of my home. The team is very friendly and efficient. My home renovation was completed in a timely fashion and I'm completely satisfied with the finished product. I highly recommend Refresh & Build for a home renovation (big or small-interior or exterior) and will not hesitate to use them again in the future!
I had Benny remodel both my bathrooms and was very satisfied with the work performed.
Jose Martinez did an outstanding job on my two items: Oak table and Thomasville credenza. He took great care with both the items, gave updates through the project as he did the work in my garage. At the end he put both items back in the house. The Oak table which I bought used over 30 years ago looks like new. The Thomasville credenza which I bought new was damaged by my cleaners and looks like it did when I bought it maybe 25 years ago. I highly recommend Jose to anyone looking to have their furniture refinished.
Sebastian did a range of projects across my condo, from building to painting. You can tell that he really enjoys the work -- thinking through each new idea as a challenge to be solved, and he's not daunted by ideas that seem complicated or setbacks along the way. He coordinated with a range of other vendors to bring in all of the parts, and referred me to high-quality providers whose work I now enjoy having in my home. He's done such amazing work that it was a no-brainer to bring him in for another project on my new place. You can tell that he's incredibly honest and really goes far beyond to make you happy. I've recommended him to several friends already.
hard working guys and expert in building fences.
I hired KOD to install a pocket door, add some recessed shelves, and balance the sink in my bathroom. They also added a pantry and cabinet in my kitchen. Kevin and his team did outstanding work. The price that he quoted was very fair and the project did not go over budget. KOD was professional, punctual, and flexible (the graciously accommodated my schedule). I found Kevin and his team to be honest and hardworking. My unit is in a very old building with odd and non-standard walls, yet Kevin and his team were able to adjust and complete the work without any delays. Thanks to his workmanship, my bathroom and kitchen now has more space and storage. I look forward to working with KOD on any new projects in the future and would definitely recommend them.
Miguel did an awesome job fixing an old "skeleton only" garage to building one that is stronger, roomier and lot more functional than just a plain-old-garage. I would recommend Miguel for other jobs and use his services again for my own projects.
