ESI Remodeling & Upgrades
About this pro
Had Shlomi clean our dryer vents and furnace for a newly bought property. They were very responsive in understanding the services I needed and arranging them. They priced competitively and booked an appoint for a few days in advanced. Showed up in time and did a very thorough job, paying attention to details, answering all our questions and leaving the house cleaner than they found it. Extremely satisfied overall. Will do business with them again.Apr 30, 2018Verified
I called around for estimates and chose ESI Repairs & Upgrades based on the price, but also quality of service. Everything from the initial phone call, to the end of the service went smoothly and as expected. The technician showed up on time and finished the job quickly without damaging any furniture or making a mess. 5 Stars for a quick and easy experience.Dec 6, 2016Verified
This is only one of the picture, they did not use any of the equipment they mentioned. All they use was a ridges vacuum you can get at Home Depot. What they did, I could have done it myself. I thought they would aleast show us that it was clean by using a optic camera but man I was wrong. I asked if the ducts was clean all the way and the guy said he stick the hose in all the way, like what does that mean and how does that answer my question. This company might make it seem all fancy on thumbtack but I see them as pitiful that take advantage of other people’s inexperiences and leech of them. I felt like I wasted a lot of money today. They might reel you in with the $35 per vent thing but to clean the furnace is another $375 when he said himself that it wasn’t that dirty. My furnace has a triple filter before it blows into the main house ducts. I just wanted to see what this guy say. And he said he in a hurry so what they said would take 3 to 4 hours, this guy was done in 40 mins. I wouldn’t recommend them at all, I would recommend to stay away from them and actually pick another company that knows what they are doing and more professional. I am a contractor myself so I know how people are in this line of work and I feel bad for all the people they have take advantage of. No need to call them if you want your ducts clean with a RIDGID VACCUM YOU CAN BUY AT HOME DEPOT and not even all the way. He said the hose is 15 ft long but I know for sure that’s not enough. The way this guy advertised with all that fancy equipment make you think that he would show you how clean the duct is but was I wrong. Shame myself for falling for their trick. If I could give ESI Repairs & Upgrades ten stars, I would. I called Shlomi on Saturday and they came to my house at 9:00 a.m. Monday to clean my dryer vent before a new dryer arrived. My two-year-old dryer died last week, and the appliance repairman said that a clogged dryer vent could have caused it to work too hard, or it could be a lemon of an appliance. My handyman had cleaned the lower part of the dryer vent several times over the years, even just one year ago, but did not have the equipment to reach all the way to the vent on the roof. Shlomi fromESI Repairs & Upgrades was friendly, courteous, professional and communicative. The first issue He ran into was that the dryer vent in my house is rectangular, so it didn't accommodate the new circular equipment they planned to use. He quickly went to Plan B and gathered long houses and suction equipment from their vehicle. He worked non-stop for over an hour in my laundry room, and running back and forth outside to see if any lint was coming out yet from the vent on the top of the roof. We were all shocked by the large amount of lint they kept removing. Shlomi explained that my dryer vent has bends in it that can trap the lint. Even when the lint started to come out the vent on my roof, He still detected lint at the top of the vent.He Was very concerned that this could still pose a fire risk to my house. Even though my home is one story and the original plan was to avoid going on the roof, He felt strongly that Shlomi should go on the roof to check the vent. Thank goodness he did. He pulled out large amounts of lint by hand that were stuck in the "T" shape of the roof vent. Before He left, the cleaned up any bits of lint and dirt in my laundry room and the little hall leading to the garage, leaving it cleaner than when they arrived. I will be using this company to keep the dryer vent clear on a regular basis.Dec 7, 2016Verified
