I am in 6th grade, and I have been taking private German lessons from Frau Christine for 1 or 2 years now. I have to say that my German has improved tremendously just because of her. She teaches through culture and day to day conversations, making learning German comfortable. She, as a person, is someone who listens, understands and talks to you. At this moment, I am reading a chapter book, "Das Doppelte Lottchen" with Frau Christine. I also work in several workbooks when she assigns it. She is a very, very organized educator, and doesn't load and overwhelm students with the language, like other German American Schools have done to me. For the first time, I have been feeling like I will be fluent in German. During lessons with Frau Christine, I forget that I am in America. She magically leads you into a world where the grammar comes naturally. She has made me WANT to learn German. I recommend this amazing teacher for any young student, especially if they already know how to speak a little German.

My daughter started taking private lessons from Patricia a month ago and we can already see a great improvement in her language skills. Patricia has excellent teaching techniques and the student is immersed in the French language from the very beginning. She uses different teaching methods including short movies and books (in French only); which make the class more dynamic and entertaining for young students. We are very pleased with Patricia and the results obtained thus far.

Monique has been tutoring my daughter in French for almost a year now. She has been a godsend. Emily was close to failing French and now has improved in every aspect of her studies. Her quiz/test scores have gone up as well as her grade in French. Monique is very encouraging to my daughter in speaking and reading the language -- working with her on these aspects as well as studying for her quizzes and tests. Monique is very organized and knows what she would like to see for my daughter. She is always on time to our tutoring sessions and very flexible in scheduling time to see us. We will continue to call on Monique to tutor my daughter probably throughout her high school years. Thank you, Monique, for a job well done.

Philip is great--a very dedicated tutor. He sent me several options for language programs and gave really helpful homework lessons, as well as many tips on the culture and alternative ways to pick up language (good French movies to watch, music, games, etc). Very nice man and great tutor!

I have been taking private French lessons with Christine since September 2015. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She is professional, flexible with her schedule, always on time, and an amazing language instructor. Not to mention, she has the utmost patience, as I do not always pronounce things correctly. Christine's style of teaching makes you want to absorb as much as possible and perfect the way you articulate. I look forward to seeing her every week for my lesson. I would also recommend her as an instructor for young children and/or teens wanting to learn french or just brush up on the language. She is truly someone not only adults enjoy learning from, she has such a lovely personality, your children will love her too. I have had many instructors in the past, and Christine is the creme de la creme of them all. Carla Vaccaro 5/30/16

She does miracles. Pascale is able to satisfy and stimulate the learning appetite of her students while completing a full curriculum. She has an incredible capacity to adapt her teaching to the temper of the students (she can handle strong and resistant ones). Super Efficiency Skill : she is perfectly bilingual so she knows where the difficulties will come from and will address it before it even becomes an issue. With only 3 hours a week in five months , she managed to make our 5 years old resistant boy read in French with pleasure. We highly recommend her for the richness of her great professionalism in teaching.

Anne-Margret uses such creative approaches to language learning! Since I'm passionate about music, she found that I responded best to learning French through song. She's brilliant, multilingual, and has degrees in linguistics. Her specialty is finding connections between different languages to make learning a new language as simple as possible for each student by capitalizing on what her pupils already know. I highly recommend her!

About

In 2010, I received my bachelor of arts in classical voice from California State University San Bernardino. Then I continued my education and received my master of music in classical voice from Manhattan School of Music and graduated in 2012. Currently, I teach music part-time at a Catholic School in Covina and sing every Sunday as the soprano soloist for Pilgrim Congregational Church in Pomona. I believe in a healthy and natural approach to singing. I also believe that a singer should be trained in music theory, rhythm and ear training. I teach both of these essential aspects in my lessons. During the 2007-08 academic year, I studied abroad in Southern Germany through CSUSB's International Program. For an entire year, I studied the German language while I continued my studies in voice. The summer between my master's degree, I studied in Florence, Italy. Those days were spent eating, breathing, learning the Italian language and way of life. I share both of these experiences with you because as a classical soloist, it is required that you sing and preferably speak in as many languages as possible. With time spent in both these beautiful countries, I had the opportunity to completely embrace the culture and language. I realize you may not want to be a classical singer; however, if you learn the technique of one, I guarantee you can sing any type of music you please. You see, in Opera there are no microphones or anything to enhance the volume of one's voice. Therefore, one has no choice but to do it correctly. My goal as your teacher will be to help you understand your voice and for you sing to the best of your ability, with a healthy and natural technique.

I do consulting in French and Portuguese languages as global link to the outside world. I have a natural flair for languages. I developed into this while I was in high school, from where I proceeded to college where I studied the depth of 2 of the world languages (French/Portuguese). I had exposure in both languages at the respective countries where I learnt not only the languages but the culture and the literature of France and Brazil. I guarantee if any interested candidate puts their all into either of these languages, will learn the fundamental in 4 weeks!
