My ex-husband is considering moving to California, somewhere near where I live. I am anxious about this situation. Ms. Mastracchio gave me supportive and helpful advice about appropriate boundaries and honesty. In the upcoming months, I feel that her insights will prevent me from unnecessary and unproductive worry, and that I can find ways to be more positive about the upcoming situation.Feb 14, 2014
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Yes; I'm always attending seminars, webinars, etc.
- How did you get started doing this type of work? After my 38 year marriage ended in divorce I was devastated. I decided I had two roads from which to choose: wallow in self-pity and become bitter, or seize the opportunity to become a better person. I set goals for myself and as I achieved each, my happiness grew. It is very important to me that my clients see the opportunities that one has in life to do, to be, to succeed. Becoming a coach is my chance to "pay it forward" to others who are "stuck" whether from just the challenges of every day life, or the trauma of divorce or the death of a loved one.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?A 45 year old widow came to me who was still suffering from the sudden loss of her husband/soul-mate a couple of years before. Some days she couldn't get out of bed. After working with me, she got her life back on track, exercising, eating healthy, pursuing dreams and moving forward, changing her life and her attitude. She's well on her way to living the life she should be living.
