Training with Stephen is a game changer. For your body, general health, and mindset. He is a skilled health professional with a wealth of knowledge that he will share with you through each session. He works with you to meet your unique goals while taking into consideration the whole, or holistic, self. One of his quotes, “train the person who shows up today,” encourages me to set aside my anxiety or workout resistance and take the hardest step on those hardest days: just get there. My mental resilience and confidence in doing hard things (outside and inside of the gym) has increased thanks to Stephen’s guidance. I’ve never felt stronger, and my body has never felt healthier. Last but not least, Stephen is truly a really kind, genuine, fun, and easy-to-talk-to guy. He makes the workouts go by quick when they’re challenging you at your fullest. His personality, expertise, and professionalism has kept me coming back for over three years. I highly recommend Stephen if you’re looking to treat yourself to some self-care, take control of your health, or are in need of some general positive growth.

I've been working with Stephen since 2017, he is the absolute best! He explains everything he's having me do so I understand why it's important and how to best achieve results. My body shape has completely changed, and I am much stronger and more fit than I've ever been. Stephen is very knowledgeable, thoughtful, professional, and genuinely a great person to be around. I very much enjoy working with him and look forward to our sessions. When covid was taking its toll on gyms and such, Stephen helped guide me on building my home gym: which pieces to purchase and which to omit, and tailored workouts to my space. I plan to continue working with him forever. 😊 My husband works with him as well, he loves the workouts and is looking better now in his 40s than he ever did in his 30s!

Stephen has always been professional and works with compassion too. I am 66, retired and considered myself content with my health, (but really knew I wasn’t)….he held me to my commitment, guiding gently but firmly! He did not let me excuse my way out of my workouts. I greatly appreciate how he really listens and can adjust the routine as he feels necessary. I truly believe anyone will benefit from his training!

I’ve been working with Stephen for nearly 2 years and the quality of the training sessions have only improved over time. He’s very knowledgeable of fitness and different exercises’ impact on the body. He’s very personable and understanding too. If you’re looking for a trainer, I couldn’t recommend Stephen enough.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    When a new client commits to their fitness journey with me, we always begin with a few questions about injuries, past training experiences, and a short health questionnaire. The first session is a physical assessment where we will complete a few different exercises to see how the body moves. There are thousands of exercises and we need to find those that fit you, instead of cramming you into an exercise that doesn’t fit your body so well. With the data collected from the first session, I will develop a three-month program, detailing the exercises, repetitions, weights, and rest breaks. Over the course of the three-month program, intensity will rise along with one’s progress.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I earned my Bachelor’s of Science at California State University, Long Beach in kinesiology with an emphasis in fitness. I chose to specialize in fitness to be the best coach in the weight room; I wanted to excel in strength, fat loss, and performance enhancement. Throughout college, I completed over 1,000 hours of internship, I trained on campus at the school gym, and later became the lead trainer at the campus gym. As lead trainer, I broke and then set new records for sessions completed in a semester. Currently, I hold my personal training certification through NSCA. Furthermore, under NASM, I have specialized in corrective exercise and performance enhancement.
