I really enjoyed working with Maria to update the downstairs of our home. She helped us warm up the entire house just by adding art, shelving, assisting with reupholstering our kitchen chairs, wallpapering our bathroom, painting the cabinets and updating the light fixture, finding a new chandelier for our dining room, and more. She was very professional and works hard to understand your budget and stay within it, as well as get a feel for your taste. She has a great eye and it is obvious that interior design is her passion because she is amazing at what she does. We are so happy with the work Maria did and we plan on using her in the near future to do some updating to the upstairs of our home. I highly recommend Maria!

Maria has been a godsend. I live in the Fairfield/Suisun City area and most if not ALL designers would not even consider a project in Fairfield. With Maria, I felt cared-for, valued, and that I mattered. She has helped me navigate (and continues to do so) the whole process of remodeling, repairs, contractors, design, materials, selection, etc. (there were multiple leaks found in my house and damage to be addressed through insurance). In collaboration, she designed for me the house of my dreams and within my budget. This was especially complicated since insurance was paying for part of the wish list of repairs, and the rest of the costs were on me. I did not know where to start and I was floundering trying to navigate the whole process. Maria has been instrumental in getting me back into my home, address needed repairs, and not only that, to make my home even better than before. Her prices are reasonable, transparent. Maria was responsible for turnkey selecting, purchasing, and handling the installation of furniture and accessories for a largely empty home. (I was moving from a small apartment to a single family home, so the existing furniture left the majority of the living area empty.) Maria picked out great looking furniture, accessories and art with my consultation and review, and I was very happy with the results. The end product was very much in line with the design motif proposed (going for rustic modern), and it made the relatively dated 70s style house and fixtures look much better. Maria is pleasant and professional to work with, knows her stuff, and was great to work with. Highly recommended!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work on a flat fee basis. I believe the client should know exactly what I am charging for the work to be performed.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I meet the client at their home or commercial space and gather all the information pertaining to the project. I then provide a comprehensive list of the scope of service to be performed for the project. With this information I will then provide the client with the flat fee. The fee is paid in installments as the work is performed to the clients satisfaction.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked in the industry for over 30 years. I attended California College for the Arts.
