Matthew is an excellent communicator. He really wants to make sure the client is heard. He was very clear about what was within the scope of his expertise and when to rely on other specialists. I needed a very important retaining wall to be built away from the house to deal with a dry rot problem. Matthew was able to guide the scope of the work so that it did not become too big of a project. Matthew actually invited my input and ideas. Even though he is in high demand and quite busy, he always make sure that our discussion sessions were clear and had enough time to address the details. Great work!

I hired Jasper from My Apartment Is Better Than Yours. I think they did a terrific job at a very reasonable price. I'm really pleased that I decided to go with them. I had a number of unusual carpentry tasks to complete when I moved to my new place. The windows were old and the wood was irregular and moldy, so the wood around the antique glass panels needed to be replaced. I was told those windows hadn't been opened in 40 years, but now they work perfectly and you'd never know the wood wasn't original. Also, several doorways lacked doors when I moved in, and were unusual rounded shapes cut into the stucco without doorframes. Jasper was able to make me custom doors with antique iron-wrought handles, and they look awesome. I also needed threshholds worked on, cabinets put up, new benches made for my roof deck, a custom projector and screen put in, antique chandeliers installed, a lock repaired... and I'm probably forgetting one or two things. They are in the process of putting the finishing touches on my humidor (they had to build me custom legs for it), and it's going to look spectacular. Anyway, they knocked it all out of the park. They were prompt and clean and didn't cause much of a disturbance despite all the work they were doing. They'll be my go-to for anything I need done in the future. I definitely recommend them.

I highly recommend Unlimited Building & Plumbing Services. I had a clogged drain and was uncertain where the clogged was. Darvell, the owner, gave me the best quote and quickly arranged plumber to work onsite (next day). When the clogging happened again in main line, Darvell against was able to send plumber to us in the next day and fully solved the issue. Darvell even called to check with us a week later to confirm everything is well.

Scorpion Services provided me and my family with an amazing Trex deck. The upper deck covers a large portion of our lower deck which has made this winter season enjoyable outside. I definitely recommend Scorpion Services to anyone who is remodeling/building a deck or add on to their home.

We hired Lifetime Remodeling in the summer of 2017 to do a first floor addition to our home in Millbrae. The project involved adding 400 square feet to our house, which included expanding the living room and adding a new bedroom and a new bathroom. It was wonderful working with Sam and his team at every step of the way. Their bid was very competitive compared to the many others I got, and the estimated time for completion (about four months) was much shorter than most of the other quotes. Lifetime's responsive customer service and attention to detail made our lives so much easier. Here are just a few examples of things they did to minimize our stress. When strong winds blew the construction fence over during off hours, they came out here quickly to get it back up and weigh it down with sandbags. When it came time to block off the parts of the house being demolished, they helped us move furniture and cover it carefully so that it would not get damaged or dirty during construction. When they needed to move the wiring for our internet access, they made sure to reconnect it promptly. The temporary wall they built was very sturdy and effective at blocking out dust, so we had no problem continuing to live in the house throughout the construction. Sam also closely inspected all the work and often caught adjustments to be made that I did not notice. For example, even though the interior painting looked fine to me, Sam decided that he wanted another coat. When we did point out other things that needed adjusting, such as leveling out certain fixtures, the team promptly fixed them. When I asked for a different design for our recessed lighting at the last minute, even after some of them had already been installed, Sam accommodated the request. Sam checked in with me often, so I always felt well informed about the next steps coming up and what I needed to plan for. This was awesome because I learned that it can be agonizing to pick out tiles, hardwood, hardware, etc. for a project like this, especially for someone like me doing it for the first time. It was also helpful to have Sam's recommendations for suppliers for the finishes and fixtures. We were really impressed that Lifetime finished the project pretty much right on schedule and with absolutely no cost overruns. To make this happen, most days, Lifetime had a team of two to four workers here by 8 a.m., and they worked steadily for the entire day. They also often worked on weekends. After Lifetime finished the addition to the house, we ended up also hiring them to do landscaping for our front yard and replacing our concrete driveway with paver stones. They also did a great job on this, and we are so happy with and amazed by how our house looks now. Remodeling inevitably involves many hard decisions and a lot of time, energy, and money invested by the homeowner! The last thing you need is a contractor who adds unnecessary stress, yet it seemed like everyone I talked to had horror stories about their contractors. We are so grateful that Sam and Lifetime made it a wonderful experience for us.

Michael remodeled my bathroom. He completely gutted it from ceiling to floor. The entire project took just 3 weeks, and the result was beautiful. Michael and his workers are so caring and give incredible attention to detail. They totally went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the results. They were very respectful of the rest of my house, always removing their shoes away from the construction area. I had resisted home remodeling for years because of the usual nightmare but Michael made it all go so smoothly. So much so that he is now back to remodel my kitchen. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He gave me comprehensive and complete budgeting of the project, updating me along the way and providing detailed receipts. It has been such a pleasure working with Michael. I love my house even more now.

my wife and I were looking to build a new house, after contacting more than a few providing the same service we were convinced that no other company will be able to fulfill our design and detail demands same as M&M construction. Eli and his team knows how to handle a project of that magnitude with ease and we are very comfortable with their ideas and solutions. it was a big decision for us as it is by far the most extensive work we have ever done. thank you M&M construction, keep doing the good work

Yuri was outstanding -- he was reasonably priced, he did really good work, he always fully cleaned up after himself, and he left us entirely satisfied on two separate projects. First, he's excellent at accomplishing small jobs for a reasonable hourly rate. He leveled a door that had been sticking, re-grouted part of our kitchen back-splash, fixed door hinges that had been squeaking, and more. Second, he did a great job framing and installing a door and surrounding sheet rock to create a new room in our house. We needed the door to match a door across the hall from it identically, and as you can see from the pictures, Yuri did so nearly flawlessly. Indeed, I wouldn't be able to tell which was the original and which one Yuri added if I didn't already know. He was also extremely patient with our project when it was delayed a few weeks because Home Depot delivered the wrong kind of door, he made minor changes when we requested them, and he handled drawings and permitting with the city. He did all of this for an extremely fair price. We'll be recommending him to any friends with similar work to be done in their homes.

They looked at every option until we were satisfied. I would highly recommend Allstars to anyone needing quality, reliable services.

His craftsmanship and knowledge of finish carpentry were exemplary. I would highly recommend him to carry out any project that requires finish or trim carpentry.

ISO Ideas designed our new home architecture and interior design in the Bay Area. We loved the modern style and customized details. They were very creative, fun to work with and also helped us to meet our budget. Most importantly they were very responsive and responsible to the last detail during construction. I had Jeff do our plans for a new Tattoo shop in an existing building, we had to meet and navigate several ADA requirements with the City of Santa Rosa planning and building department. Jeff was very knowledgeable, competent dealing with the city for us. He is a very Personable Architect who was never too busy to to answer questions for myself, my contractor or my city of santa rosa planning technician. I would recommend Jeff and would not hesitate to use his service again, mo Bernal, Avenue Tattoo, and Anchor Rose Tattoo

I hired CFI Construction to frame a new 501 sq ft building on our property to be used as a sewing studio. Today, they started and finished framing the walls, and enclosing the entire building with shear panels. Next week, when the trusses arrive, they are going to install them and install roof shearing. I learned of CFI two days ago on Thumbtack. Having observed their work today, I feel like the A team just fell out of the sky into my project. They are phenomenal in every respect. Their work, honesty, and work ethic are models for the construction industry. They have years of experience framing large projects, both residential and commercial. I was humbled that they chose to work on my project. They are not solely a framing company. They can build a building from start to finish, I just happened to hire them for framing. Having enjoyed today's experience, I'm going to use them for more phases of our project. Both the owner of the company (Steve) and one of his sons (Drew) were on site the entire day, as well as their crew of 5 framers. I wanted to write this review now, even though they still have trusses to install and the front porch to frame, because I want other users of Thumbtack to have the same benefit of a 1st class, licensed, professional construction company, as I did today. I strongly recommend that you seek out CFI Construction for your projects. They are the real deal. Thank you Steve and Drew.

OpenBay Design designed a large addition with 1 new story in my multi-family rental building. I was very satisfied with the process and was pleasantly surprised at how smoothly it all went. The team was knowledgeable in code and permit requirements, thoughtful in the design, personable and easy to work with. Yesterday Jalandhar and his team finished the new 2nd floor addition on my single family home in Burlingame before the guys started there was only an old attic , they completely removed the entire roof , built new walls and a new roof to create a 2nd floor, they then proceeded with a bathroom, 2 bedrooms and 2 walk in closets. Me and my wife are very happy and satisfied with the outcome of the project, from the hardwood flooring and custom builtins to the tiling and painting the expertise that was shown was much appreciated.
