Jim Frink - Drum Teacher

Introduction: Jim Frink provides drum lessons. Jim Frink has several years of experience teaching drums professionally and is available for private lessons in Davis, CA. Students of all ages and skill levels are welcome, from complete beginner to advanced. Lessons are catered to suit students' individual interests and needs. Emphasis is placed on both making progress and having fun. Some of the topics covered are the following: * Technique * Music and rhythm theory * Playing in different styles/situations (rock, jazz, funk, etc.) * Limb independence * Reading music * Drum-set soloing concepts Jim's teaching approach draws from his own studies with several great drum teachers (including Rick Lotter and George Marsh), music education at UC Santa Cruz, and experience performing in jazz, rock/pop and classical musical situations.
