After travelling around the world (three years, six continents), I now live in Davis with my family. I’m a desert native, originally from Coachella, California.
Ask me about my white wolf incident from when I was in the high Canadian Arctic, or my years as a counterterrorism intelligence officer in Washington DC. I’ve crossed part of the south Pacific in a motorboat, written a book of poetry, speak professional Spanish, am a certificated California teacher, avid backpacker and wildlife observer, and mix a MEAN gin martini. MA from Middlebury, BA from Bennington, Arts Diploma from the Idyllwild Arts Academy.
Sitting and watching the full moon rise over the desert with my children is the best experience I’ve ever had, especially listening to the coyotes. Be comfortable with wilderness in your heart.
