I first heard of Gourmet Your Way during a tasting in wine country Temecula. We were looking for catering chef (yes chef, there is a difference) to serve our VIP guest at our annual Summer Concert Series. I had to find a chef that could serve 500+ VIP's at the same time? Tricky & challenging to say the least. Chef Michael nailed it! serving hot well thought out complementary dishes to a massive hungry crowd. Gourmet Your Way is at the top of our list for all of our winery dinner shows. I was so pleased with Chef Michael, time & time again, that I refer him whenever given the opportunity....I have since chosen Gourmet Your Way to cater my private events for family weddings and our family reunion. You deserve "5" stars chef Michael. I look forward to having you & your wonderful staff at future events. Great Food, Great Chef, Great Staff! I highly recommend.
We hired Gourmet Lovers to cater lunch at our daughter college graduation on a Yacht. Carolina and Boris arrived early dress in their professional chef coats The Buffet set in a lavished 5 star style Everything from the mouthwatering appetizer to the main lunch had great presentation, set in high-quality culinary service Each bite tasted amazing. We had a varieties of perfectly executed dessert making it the Gourmet Lovers treats During these events, our guests complement Gourmet Lovers, their culinary creations were outstanding We highly recommend Carolina & Boris Your menu is traditional and modern with unique a twist. We will use them again!!! Thank you!!!

I hired these guys about a year ago for a small dinner party, about 5 of us. It was such a great experience! It was a while ago so I can't remember the chef's name, I think it was David, he was on time, professional, super friendly, did a great job working with my tiny apartment kitchen and crappy old stove. The food was impeccable! No joke BEST crab cakes I've ever had in my life! We all had a great time and my friends were also so impressed with the food. They still talk about the dinner. I'm not a fancy person who hires private chefs all the time, it was my first, but it was such a great experience I would do it again if a special occasion came up and would absolutely hire him again! Highly recommend! It took so long to leave this review because I forgot to do it last year and I'm an outta sight outta mind person, unfortunately, but I just got on here to look for another service and saw them on my list and had to leave this review. Won't disappoint!
Thank goodness for chefs like Mark who cook the way you want, and need, to eat when the last thing you want to do is cook for yourself when you're ill. I'm so greatful to have been introduced to him when I needed it the most. Mark is a great guy who cares about your healing. He's prepared the most healthy and delicious dishes. He'll work with you so that every dish delivered is what you like. And his selection is so broad that you won't eat the same thing again and again. Though some times you'll wish you did!
Had a great experience with Executive Chef Mark Kearney and Team. To set expectations before the review, I like to consider myself a food lover...not a critic, just a food lover. I love great dining experiences and am equally critical or disappointed when they fall short. My family and I were hosting Christmas Dinner for a total of 10 family members. I found Chef Mark on Thumbtack based on his previous reviews. Roy (part of Mark's team) promptly reached out with thought-starters for the meal and breakout of pricing. Over the next few weeks Roy, Mark and I worked closely crafting the perfect menu for my traditional Christmas dinner, while staying within my budget parameters. To note, Chef Mark is priced higher than some of the other chefs I was in contact with, but I'm glad we went with Mark based on the outcome. The menu consisted of 4 gourmet hors d oeuvres passed around while we opened presents. A fan favorite was the roasted fig with gorgonzola and prosciutto. Then time for dinner. We sat at the dining table and were served Butternut Ravioli as an appetizer, Lobster Bisque soup (a bit on the spicy side - only critique I have with the food all night) and an organic baby butterleaf salad with incredible apricot balsamic vinaigrette. The main course was both a grilled beef tenderloin (prepared to your liking) and pan roasted turkey breast. Sides that accompanied the main course were brocollini, green beans and bacon/garlic mashed potatoes. Everything (except the soup) was beyond 5 stars in terms of presentation, taste and expectations. Lastly we were served two very decadent and delicious deserts - a molten lava cake and traditional bread pudding. Two things to mention. My wife was forced (by her OBGYN) into a new diet two days prior to the Christmas dinner consisting of no dairy and no soy. When Chef Mark arrived we asked him what had dairy and soy ingredients and he quickly and thoughtfully mentioned that he could make my wife's servings without either dairy or soy. Talk about going above and beyond. This was much appreciated and set the tone for the entire dinner! I would potentially ask for two servers for the evening on future events. One to solely serve as sous chef, helping Mark prepare the food in the kitchen and the other server to help set the table, serve food, wine, etc.. throughout the evening. The 5 hours that Mark and Team allocate for the evening can go quickly. This might alleviate that. Either way, a great experience and thank you Mark and Team!
Food delivery was a little late, but the Chefs stayed and helped with set-up and service even though they were not contracted too. They carved the turkey on location and stayed for the whole event. They also supplied plates and utensils even though we did not ask for them. They were great from start to finish with food left over after feeding 130.
I was extremely delighted with Chef Ana and her team and all that they brought to the table - literally and figuratively. We found ourselves in a tight spot with no caterer on a commercial shoot all the way out in Ventura the day before the shoot, and From The Grill answered the call and got the job done for us at the very last minute and at a price that stayed within our budget. The food was delicious and the crew were all satisfied and happy. My production team got the props from the crew, but we know the props belong to Chef Ana and her team at From The Grill and couldn't be more grateful for their jumping aboard in crunch time and coming through!
I am very pleased to recommend Chef Travis Pena as a personal chef. I've retained Chef Travis for years to create fabulous dinner parties in the privacy of my home. In our initial interview, Chef Travis asked many specific questions and took notes as we discussed the style of food I would like served. He annotated likes and dislikes. Together we have created several personalized menus. Chef Travis delivers restaurant excellence as he both prepares and serves the meal. Chef Travis is always prepared and well organized with a very positive attitude. Working with Chef Travis each time is pleasant and stress free. Every meal is delicious and precisely prepared. I greatly enjoy leftovers the next day! As a Chef, Travis is professional in every aspect. He cleans efficiently while preparing fine cuisine leaving behind a clean kitchen and delicious food. The only traces of Chef Travis are the lovely aromas and stocked refrigerator. I would highly recommend Chef Travis as a private chef. His service and customer service are exceptional. Five stars for all for categories. The chicken piccata and trip tip were tender and delicious, and the side dishes were fresh and tasty as well. Aioli dropped off on time in nice dishes. My compliments to the chef!
So Divine Catering catered my Christmas party for my family. Chef Alexis was professional and attentive. The staff was respectful and friendly. The food was AMAZING! (Stuffed mushrooms and sliders-- so good!!) a wonderful experience had by all. I will definitely be hiring So Divine catering for future events.
Michelle from One HOT Dish Catering was hired as a 'one time' personal chef at my home. I requested that Michelle provide me and my guest with a fine dining experience with five star restaurant service. She didn't disappoint. Michelle transformed of portion of my home into an elegant dining corner and prepared a full course meal with the culinary expertise reminiscent of Flemings. If you weren't in awe of the table setting and china flatware then you were marveled by her attentive service and the exquisite manner in which explained each dish. We felt like royalty. We can't wait to do it again!
I attended a 16 person dinner for which Steven was the private chef. Overall the food was phenomenal. Presentation and flavors were top notch. Additionally, the staff provided was excellent. Great evening overall, in no small part thanks to Steven.

I truly enjoyed working with Amy. I had never hired a private chef for an event before so was nervous about quality and professionalism but I couldn't have made a better choice than Amy! She was super-responsive and pro-active with ideas and suggestions. We had a pretty hard-to-please group and everyone commented how wonderful everything tasted and especially how nice it was to not have to slave over the meal in the kitchen. Amy's pricing is also very fair and open to working with various budget ranges. There is no doubt I (and the dinner guests) will be contacting Amy in the future! Look no further than Amy...she's the best!

We loved the level of service and the food was amazing! Our guests loved every course. The chef used fresh ingredients and each dish was deliciously prepared and well presented. The entire staff created a wonderful experience for us and our guests. They were professional, courteous, friendly, very accommodating, and completely self-sufficient. We didn't have to lift a finger. Even the planning stage was made easy. Bill was extremely responsive, very professional, and reliable. They were reasonabley priced, as well. I would highly recommend them.
Greg was the perfect chef for my dinner party! He's enthusiastic about what he does and excellent at creating a menu that is delicious and every bit as good (or better) than dining at a 5-star restaurant while being in your own home! My guests loved the experience with Greg. Everyone who came to the party wanted to hire him for their next event! I would definitely hire him again in the future.
We hired Unique Luxury Catering to prepare a family dinner for 8 for my wife's birthday on our patio at Pelican Hill.Chef Brad prepared a fabulous meal topped off by a scratch made carrot cake that was divine.The reduction sauce with vanilla bean added was incredible to plate everything in. This was a great meal,for a great celebration in a great setting. Unique will deliver a great experience for whatever need your occasion requires.Thanks Steve for providing a great experience !
