Houman, you are amazing. People love our new restaurant. Look at our yelp reviews for the proof 😊. They can't stop praising about our restaurant interiors on all the social networking sites. Houman went above and beyond in helping us open our modern fast casual restaurant. Our budget did not allow for us to afford an interior designer. Houman stepped in as an interior designer along with the construction of our interiors. His ideas and execution were amazing. We couldnt have done the design so well without him. We had a tight deadline and Houman is the type of a contractor that wont mind working long nights and weekends. He worked around the clock to get us to opening day. The day before opening, late night we had a plumbing issue. Houman went out of his way, and came late nigjt to fix our plumbing issue! Thanks a lot Houman! We are thankful! Houman is very organized, professional and courteous on site. If you are looking for a trustable contractor I highly recomend him! From his Proposal paper work till the finishing touches, everything Houman did for us is Extraordinary! We will work around his schedule for our next restaurant opening

I hired DACH Design to provide design concepts for a kitchen remodel, as well as, pull the kitchen look and feel into the living and dining rooms to create a more polished and cohesive look in the house. The project was just before the holiday season and DACH Design, working through the holiday and vacation, were very quick to turn around and present their ideas. I received a presentation binder that included floor plans for the kitchen, including tile, counter tops, back splash, floor, lighting and window coverings. Includes were also selections for furniture, rugs and lighting for the other rooms. I felt like they listened to what my tastes are, and presented some great ideas. I do wish DACH Design had the capability to create 3D renderings of the design layouts, as that was essential in making the final design decision, and I had to go elsewhere to have that done.

Working within our tenant improvement allowance, he helped us select everything from carpet, laminate, base, paint and furniture layout. I met with Christine for interior design work and was incredibly impressed. She has a wonderful sense of style and was able to capture my personality perfectly with her design recommendations. She has an attention to detail and was very generous with her time -- coming over multiple times to ensure the items were just right. She acted like it was more than just a "design job" but really important to her that I was pleased with the transformation. She is a wonderful decorator and I highly recommend her!!!! She is also a jack of all trades and even acted as a handy-man to remove chair cushions to take for upholstery and install a new light fixture!

I had called 4 vendors and Chris Gilmore of Custom Design was the first to respond and came out the very next day even though it happened to be a Sunday. Upon meeting her, I immediately felt she was trustworthy, genuine and down to earth with her prices and proposals. Subsequently I had changed my mind a number of times about the pattern of carpeting and throughout, she remained patient and gracious. Despite some glitches, she took care of business in a professional way, always returning my phone calls and emails almost immediately. I expressed concern about possible problems with the installation crew. She assured me I will be happy with the crew she was sending. True to her word, the crew worked together, was cordial and completed the job to my great satisfaction. All in all, the whole project turned out to be beautiful. You should see the worksmanship of the seams in the carpeting. I have never seen a job of such perfection! So, for a stress free project, I would call Chris Gilmore who owns Custom Design and obviously cares about her clients' satisfaction. My kitchen was in major need of a decluttering and organizing overhaul. My cabinets were overflowing with pantry items, too many dishes/glasses, bakeware and mismatched tupperware. I couldn't find anything I needed and items were spilling out of shelves. Design and Order came to my rescue! I was given a consultation first to discuss my needs and concerns and then of course, a game plan. LeiLani helped me go through every single cabinet and not once did I feel overwhelmed. She was very calm and patient through a process that I should have felt frazzled by. Not only did I weed out all of the things I didn't need, but I was able to donate a lot of my items. I felt very good about a lot of the decisions I made while cleaning out and reorganizing my kitchen. She made the process smooth and simple for me. I felt relieved when I saw the end product of my kitchen and was so happy with all the organization and new space! LeiLani even gave me tips on how to keep my kitchen from getting cluttered again and a few recommendations on other projects in my house. I am one happy girl and I will definitely be using Design and Order's services again! Give them a try...you won't regret it!

After months of looking for someone who could help my company put together one of our annual corporate events, we found Ms. Pratt at Pat Thomas Design. Working with her was so great. You will love working with Devlyn. From the timely, concise contract through the finishing touches, Devlyn Gorby is top notch! In the last six months, Devlyn has helped design and decorate two properties for us; one an older recently purchased home for my son and the other a small rental apt in Burbank. We are so happy with these beautiful, highly functional homes. The older home was transformed into a stunning modern property in less than two months including wall, ceiling and window treatment, lighting, art and all the furnishing. My little apt now has sleeping for four and dining for six. I reached out to Devlyn after twice purchasing a couch that wouldn't fit though the hall. If I'd started with her I would have saved more money! But I saved money anyway because Devlyn found sale furniture for me as well as a custom made reclaimed wood table. She also repurposed some of the furniture I had. Devlyn is a master in the use of color, lighting and proportion. She is also a great communicator and knows how to "make her client happy". She never dictates but draws out your ideas and preferences. I have high hopes that I will have the pleasure of working with Devlyn again one day and I'm sure that once you've worked with her you will feel the same.

What can I say! I Hired Staged and Sold. First you actually get an interior designer who designs the space. They don’t just throw things into the home. I had the pleasure of working with Barbara on a listing that needed to be sold quickly with really tight timelines.  She walked through the home and instantly came up with ideas that fit the space really well.  She showed up on time with her staging partner and made quick work of a 3 bed/2 bath house.  I was really impressed with their design and apparently so were all the buyers that walked through.  We ended up getting 20k over asking price because of the staging.  I also found out that the buyers loved the staging and requested to buy the furniture from Barbara. It was well worth the investment.

What does it mean to stage a home?

Home staging is the real estate strategy of decorating your home to be as marketable as possible to your target demographic. Home staging is done by interior decorators and other design pros hired by the homeowner or realtor, prior to putting a house on the market. Think of it as setting the stage for potential buyers to fall more easily in love with their future homes — and to spend top dollar to get them. It’s likely to be worth the investment: The Real Estate Staging Association reports that staged homes spend 90 percent less time on the market than those that are not staged. The price varies based on how many rooms in the house need staging, whether furniture and decor are needed or the stager can work with the client’s belongings, whether the home is occupied or vacant, and the sale price of the home. Occupied homes typically cost less to stage as they are already furnished, and can require less time and resources than staging an empty house. The main tasks when staging an occupied home are rearranging and decluttering. Staging an empty house can be more expensive as furniture and decor need to be trucked in, requiring transportation, physical labor and potential rental fees. Here are some examples of average home staging costs:

  • 2-hour consultation: $200, includes DIY tips and guidance.
