Introduction: Greetings! My name is Proctor and I have more than 35 years of experience in Hospitality and I've loved every minute of it. I honestly couldn't think of any other career that doesn't feel like work. I've waited tables in neighborhood bars on Palm Beach, FL and in fine dining and in an upscale Colonial Tavern on a plantation in Colonial Williamsburg, VA. As a waiter at a trendy downtown eclectic Diner as well as a Yacht and Country Club in Norfolk, VA to Private Dining at San Francisco's celebrated Foreign Cinema. My first position I landed when I moved to San Francisco was as Bar Manager at 2 Michelin starred restaurant Michael Mina at the Westin St. Francis, Union Square. I also work for a large caterer based in San Francisco but they do larger parties, which I really enjoy. However, because I really love the more personable aspect of working with my clients through this platform. The large catering is amazing to watch from "backstage" and during service to see entire spaces transform into something completely new and magical. That's the cool technical aspect of catering I find fascinating. Why I love "personal catering" is, well, it's just FUN! It's more of a creative aspect for me still with that technical facet of how do I do my personal best to bring as small of a footprint as possible and deliver as big of a bang as I can. Catering in general is just in my blood. It's never the same thing, always with new faces, fantastic locations, gorgeous homes, random spots, constant new ideas that seem totally insane but, "just might work, let's check it out!". It's called "Cater Magic"! With my experience as the Wine Consultant for one of the most popular prime rib restaurants in Richmond, Va. with the largest wine account in the Commonwealth of Virginia to bartending at one the high-volume restaurant/bars on Fisherman's Wharf, Bistro Boudin at the Wharf, I am allowed the luxury of adapting my style of service to your desire. I can read the vibe of the party fast and adapt quickly. I don't have a particular "style" of cocktails or service, per se, because each client has their own individual particular style and I adapt to that. What are your ideas or visions? Let's run with them! I will ask you a lot of questions, some may seem odd, but there is a method to my madness, I promise. I do ask for photos of the area where the bar will be (if needed) so that I can design the setup in advance. I'm a visual person and find that this makes the setup go more effectively. I prefer to limit my bar services parties under 50 because I feel the more personal touch of more intimate parties. That way you are going to get the best overall service experience possible! I'm one of those people who genuinely enjoys hospitality and take pride in my service. I like to personally cull cocktails that are classic or exotic for you or to totally create libations that are unique to you and the theme of your party. Not all gatherings or parties need a theme but all get togethers need great drinks! I enjoy going above and beyond to ensure that your event is a success and that you have time to enjoy yourself and your guests. I am very flexible and can usually stay extra hours or help out with other tasks. I am extremely respectful of my clients' right to privacy. I do not photograph anything inside or outside of your home except for a few photos of the bar set-up alone to use online, with your permission, of course. I have signed many Nondisclosure Agreements and still respect all NDAs that I have signed and will be willing to sign one for you. I hold a certificate from the International Court of Master Sommeliers, am a member of the American Bartenders Guild and was a Judge for the Governor's Cup (Virginia State Wine Competition). I can also assist with service, busing. I have my valid CA Food Handler's card and current TIPs card (Alcohol safety required by the state). **********BARTENDING FEES********* There is a 4 hour minimum at $400 and extra hours are available at $150/hour for 3 hours then $200/hr for 2 more hours. Any hours and pricing outside of these hours to be discussed. Don't forget to get the party going and avoid the last minute ice run with 200 12 oz recyclable clear plastic cups and approximately 60 lbs. of ice are available for a $50 fee for up to 50 guests! ************FOR FOOD SERVICE**************** *****THERE IS A 4 HOUR MINIMUM FOR FOOD SERVICE***** $75/hour : "Casual Food Service" "Buffet Service"; assisting chef/client in plating/passing food; casual food service; maintaining tidiness of service areas; ensuring that guests are having a great time; cleaning of service area; assist chef/client with kitchen cleanup. THIS IS THE SAME RATE FOR BUFFET SERVICE. $125/hour : "The Butler"; assisting chef/client with basic food prep; 1 hour for aperitifs and passed appetizers, 3 course meal with wine and cocktail service, coffee and digestifs; cleaning of the kitchen after the meal; assisting client with any other needs for the evening. This service is limited to a maximum of 10 guests. ***Don't forget that when you book your are booking with confidence with the Thumbtack Guarantee!
