- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each event is different so a free consultation is usually suggested. The price I quote you here is already discounted for being a Thumbtack customer and depends on the size of the audience, and the number of visual effects you request. Special events, such as school Dances, Sweet 16 Parties, Weddings, Halloween, Political Rallies, Mall Openings and New Year's Eve will require more planning and may incur an additional seasonal rate due to demand, so booking ahead is always advised.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The planning begins with a simple consultation session, either in person or via telephone or computer. I want to make sure I have a good understanding of what desired ambiance of the room should be, for example, whether it's dressy and upscale or casual and energetic. This will also allow me to prepare the music that's best suited for the event and ensures that I am dressed appropriately and professionally when I appear.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 20 years of experience as a mobile disc jockey, master of ceremonies, radio personality/announcer, powermixer, nightclub DJ and international touring DJ. I'm a 'real' DJ who is equally at home on vinyl turntables as I am with digital decks. My customized equipment includes sound systems of various sizes, lights, lasers, fog, strobes and my system gives me immediate connectivity to an online library of over 30 million songs, as well as my own cured playlists culled from my own years of experience.
