Before I took Jacquie's bubbling and rainbow meditation class, I had no idea that I hold the power to help heal and protect myself on a daily basis. Being empathic, I pick up lots of energy everywhere I go and this can make for unnecessarily stressful and emotional times, but Jacquie gave me the tools to help cleanse and shield myself and stay comfortable everywhere I go. I also love working with the angels to help cleanse my energy and my surroundings - something I had no idea I could do until I took Jacquie's class! Jacquie is understanding, compassionate and wonderful to work with; I highly recommend her class and healing sessions.
I was interested in learning more about spirituality, Reiki in particular. Tehani helped my understanding of Oneness in through allowing Reiki. I became level 1 Reiki Practitioner in two sessions of one on one student-teacher style going over basic chakra healing education and application to healing people. The last session ends with an attunement to able to do Reiki healing for others. She is amazing - super friendly, caring, self aware, loving, full of worldly knowledge/wisdom and shares her stories with teachings. She is always available to talk to whenever needed and is flexible with her classes and wants everyone to be included that wants to be included. I highly recommend Tehani's Reiki School by the Beach

I started taking classes in a group setting with Yochai about two months ago and now I just finished my month of taking private lessons on a weekly basis with him. I still take classes with him a group setting also. I’ve had some great yoga teachers but so far I do have to say that Yochai has an extremely sophisticated knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics. It’s been amazing to see how my body responds to the subtle cues that he gives. He walks you through movements and helps you focus on the anatomy of my body by saying things like, “now imagine that you are pushing your heel back even though you aren’t” and those types of cues help me get so much more benefit and alignment in each pose. His cues have helped increase my strength and stamina. I have over 100 pounds to lose and do yoga hasn’t been easy for me, but since I started studying with him I can feel a change in my body. Since I started my private classes a month ago I have already lost 10 pounds in one month, I can feel changes in my muscles, I can feel and sort of see my core. He pushes me farther than other instructors have but he does it in an inspiring way and step by step. One day when I was beating myself up he showed me a picture in the past of him being overweight and it really inspired me. Yochai has helped me with practicing the poses and I find it very helpful how he shows me how to use the wall and props like blocks and straps to have better alignment in each pose and build more strength. He’s also highly intelligent and also discusses other aspects of yoga with me; for example he gave me some documentary recommendations and gives me some good for thought as I am on my yoga journey in more ways than just the physical practice. He’s helped me so much due to his knowledge of the body that it’s helped my alignment to the point that about 4 occasions that My body was so well aligned that I felt as light as a feather and if the difficult pose was easy. He’s also helped me learn how to breathe better. I’m very satisfied with yochai’s services and I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to begin yoga or anyone who has practiced for a while and wants to push themselves. Honestly I’m not very easily impressed but I think he’s very gifted.
I’ve wanted to learn Qigong/Tai Chi for a long time and I’m really enjoying Richard’s class. Even on nights when my mind is racing and I think it couldn’t possibly quiet down, it inevitably does since Qigong is truly meditation in movement. If my body is feeling tight and rigid, the fluid forms help relax me and get my energy flowing more evenly. If I’m feeling low in energy, the slow rhythmic movement softly lifts me. It’s a beautiful thing to feel as well as to watch as the class moves in graceful synchronicity as a collective. It’s very harmonizing in every way. Richard has a gentle and understanding spirit and is sensitive to the unique needs of each participant and anyone with physical challenges, reminding us to modify any moves for our greatest comfort. His long years of experience are evident in the mindful and attentive way he conducts the class. I leave feeling grounded, balanced, peaceful and pretty happy. I feel the benefits of doing Qigong on all levels and am very grateful for his class. Carrie Higgins
Phyllis used a number of techniques such as guided meditation and hypnosis to help me focus and realize my goals. After our sessions I felt relaxed and filled with positive insights which made it possible for me to see a path forward. Sometimes all that is needed is for someone to remove the blindfold you have gotten used to wearing.
Joy Rika is a great yoga teacher. Not only does she really know her stuff, but she likes her students and wants them to succeed. You can see that in the patience and good humor she brings to her work. She is incredibly supportive and she works with you at a pace that is comfortable for you. Best personal trainer/yoga coach/instructor I ever had!
Juilette is a wonderful yoga teacher! I was very nervous to have someone come into my house and teach me for an hour private with my husband but WOW we were impressed. She is so sweet, caring, and helpful when it comes to adjusting and correcting our poses. I have done yoga for a few years but my husband is new to yoga. She balanced both of us well and made adjustments to each one of our levels. I will be working with her again and advise you work with her too!

Marie is phenomenal and hands down one of the best yoga teachers in the area. I had a really bad back...to the point that I had to give up Golf but after a couple months of yoga sessions, I was good to go and my back pain has abated for the last 4 months. Plus i feel so much better - no medications needed!
I have gone to several classes run by both Haruna Asakawa and James Uriu and I have found the classes to be reflective, healing, and energizing. This is now my favorite yoga system because it focuses on gradual growth and stretching, meditation, breath, and working with your body to improve health and flexibility - not overworking like in so many other yoga systems. This isn't the typical "cardio-workout" yoga with so many "downward dogs," Haruna and James both use original sanskrit to name the poses and each exercise is a natural progression of the last one. It gives me the moment to slow the world down and become more in-tune with myself. I highly recommend the Original Yoga System and Haruna and James as thoughtful and patient instructors!
Adam is my all-time favorite yoga and meditation teacher. His wisdom, intuition, and creativity make for only the most positive, engaging, and (appropriately) challenging private and group classes. His warm, professional, easy-going attitude always makes me feel extremely comfortable. And if you like to incorporate music into your practice, his playlists can't be beat! Highly recommended, extremely talented teacher!!

Once in a while, a person has a life changing event that totally redirects his trajectory. Working with Brian was such an event for me. I cannot say enough about what his meditation teachings has brought into my life. I will always be thankful and grateful. I would say by far the best investment I have ever made in myself. "I have worked with many yoga teachers and Keya Merah stands high above all of the rest. She has the extraordinary ability to mix technical expertise and attention to perfect positioning with an empathetic and encouraging manner. Keya has taught me more in the few months we've been working together than I learned over the past five years going to classes. She's showed me how to use my breath and where to place it in order to get deeper into the poses and maintain them longer. My aim was to stretch very tight muscles and release stressed joints. Chan Meditation in the Park is great. Every Tuesdays we meet at downey wilderness park and meditate together. It helps me keep meditating with those that support each other.
Elisabeth has such a caring attitude toward our seniors at the retirement community where she teaches. They all love her and the way she tailors the class to their special needs, while encouraging them to do more than they think they can. The results have been amazing and no one wants to miss the class! They love the relaxation and going within time also. I have also taken personal classes with Elisabeth. She is an excellent teacher and she has helped me grow in my practice of yoga.
Ginger is the best! I worked with her up until I had to move out of the area but if I could put her on some kind of perminent yoga retainer and take her with me, I would. She can instruct at any level and easily adapts to whatever you need. She is fantastic at guided meditations as well which was my favorite part of her sessions.
