Introduction: 100% of my income comes from the DJ and Photo Booth business. I quit my regular 9 to 5 because I get steady work. At no extra charge I assist with wedding planning. The majority of my jobs come from weddings but I DJ all types of events: Cotillions, Quinceaneras, Corporate and School Events. Therefore, I don't just do this on the weekends for extra money. This is my life! I enjoy making events memorable. I take great pride in offering great services at an affordable rate. I love the way music moves people, both physically and emotionally. If I make someone's day by playing a song it makes my day too. I get to meet people from all walks of life. Doing various events has allowed me to build a great network and make some new friends.

I had interview several DJ's for my staff club Christmas party at The Elms tower in Sacramento. This is a big event for Kaiser South Sacramento ER Nurses, Doctors, and staff. Every other DJ seemed to be very corporate, which didn't attract me. Sylvan Stencil however, was down to earth and easy going. He communicaed well, was punctual, professional, and dressed for the occasion (formal attire with bow tie). I was not expecting that. His level of sophistication, brought excellent service to my formal party theme. The lights complemented the music very well. Lastly, and most importantly--the music. Let's put it this way. I'm a medical professional in my late 30s. Sylvan had us moving like I was in a house party back in 93! It's was a great party. Many of my guest asked about the DJ and mentioned how responsive he was with the diverse crowd. I will definitely call Sylvan Stencil the next time I throw a party. You won't regret his services!

It depends on the event needs. We will work to customize a package that works best for you.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'll discuss a quote with a customer. If they are interested in my services then I will meet them in person for further discussion and booking. At that time I'll take a deposit and gone over a DJ contract.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We DJs learn from each other through forums and DJ groups. The best ideas and trends come from other professionals in my field. Otherwise I have formal training Apple Logic Pro, Apple Final Cut X and Virtual DJ Pro.
