We used Mahya's architectural services for drawing our house plans & getting building permit. She is knowledgeable and got the job done in a timely manner. We found out that that we had to go thru City Planning's design review and variance application - she helped us fill out the paperwork, and updated the drawings. We had a positive experience with Mahya's service and got everything we need to accomplish.

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with Mahya. We had a fairly complicated project that involved redesigning a 1970's built house along with adding a second floor to it. She came up with a near perfect design that met all of our requirements. She was also very helpful in getting the design approved from the Fremont Planning Division. It was a real pain to deal with Fremont Planning Division as they were super slow to respond and most of their review comments were nitpickings. Mahya dealt with all of them very patiently and played a very important role to get the plan approved. She was always just a call away to discuss any ideas or plans. Overall, we feel very lucky to have found her and would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a thorough professional with deep knowledge and expertise in the design and architectural field.

I wholeheartedly recommend Mahya for any architectural and/or design services you may need. She worked with us on architectural plans for our home remodel, which was extensive to say the least, not only drafting the building permit set but also providing guidance through the permit process, and coming up with creative design and planning ideas. We learned so much from her, especially about the impact of natural light and the importance of making thoughtful, intentional choices in your home design. Her aesthetic is clean, modern, bright, and functional. She is a complete professional (very responsive and meets her deliverables), but also approachable, easy to work with, and open to your own ideas. She really listens and has a fun, warm personality. We were very worried about hiring someone we didn't know, but trusted our instincts and all her positive feedback. It was the best decision we have made so far. I was stuck with a weird layout and other teams I've consulted weren't giving me good solutions. Mahya and her team was really creative in solving my very specific problem and worked diligently to provide quality end to end illustration on it. I am perfectly happy with the outcome.

Mahya helped me both create and navigate the steps to get my bathroom addition created and approved through the City of Oakland.
