I spent a day shooting photos with Cheshire and had a terrific time. We did a mixture of portrait and full-body shots in a variety of outdoor locations around the East Bay, with a few changes of clothing. Cheshire was very friendly and an absolute pleasure to work with. Best of all, I loved how the photos turned out. They are attractive, presenting me authentically and in my best light. Additionally, Cheshire's rates are good for the quality he offers. I hope to work with Cheshire again in the future!Jul 8, 2016
Cheshire is a good photographer and a very nice person. Since the first contact he was reactive, kind and friendly while remaining very professional. I felt a very good vibe. He is creative and enjoys his job, which make the photo sessions zen and enjoyable.Feb 6, 2019Verified
Cheshire is one amazing photographer and human being. I had planned a pregnancy shoot for the last month of pregnancy but I had to be admitted to the hospital early due to a complication. Cheshire came to the hospital and put all of his creativity to work. You would never be able to tell the pics were taken at Alta Bates! We were very tense with all this happening but he made us relax and enjoy ourselves fully. We had a magical evening that we will cherish for life. And the pics are amazing despite our circumstances. Thank you Cheshire!Jul 31, 2018Verified
Cheshire photographed a ribbon cutting ceremony at an elementary school. He checked in with me the day before, arrived early the day of and took photos of everything I needed. He was easy to work with.Aug 23, 2016Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I try to keep my pricing competitive; I may not be the lowest-priced, but the value for what you get with me is priceless. When you choose me, you now have someone who is deeply invested in you, whether it's creating portraits you'll love or helping you be successful in your business with the images we create together. I think my pricing is fair (i.e., what a pro should be charging for the kinds of photos clients want), but I'm also sensitive to tight budgets. It never hurts to ask how we can make the most out of your budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? It really depends on the kind of project you have. Some projects are pretty straightforward, and I can get the kind of information I need through email. Some things, though, are more sensitive: a lot of times I'll talk with a boudoir client by phone or even meet with her before the session so she gets a good sense of who I am and knows she'll feel comfortable in our session. The bottom line is, whatever my customer needs, I'm there for them. After I shoot, I typically turn images around pretty quickly; I often get a gallery to a client within a week or so, and once they pick their favorites, it's only a few days to a week before I get them their final images. If a client has particular timing needs, I'll always make sure the images are done by that deadline.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am always learning how to do more in my field. I keep up on forums and tutorials, and I'm always studying images I love to see how they were created.
