Introduction: I look for the most natural expression of beauty in each subject. I do my best to put subjects at ease and help them to feel positive about expressing their own unique presence on the planet. Photography is a meditation on life and moments in time. Each job brings me fully into the present. I enjoy the poetry and mental clarity of freezing such moments so that they can be revisited and enjoyed for years to come. Even by generations to come. It's a way of being here now, but also, looking into the future.

Lisa Sellge most recently shot our Christmas card photos. It was just a few weeks before Christmas, however Lisa was not fazed. I had jokingly mentioned we had always wanted a portrait with our pets and she said to bring them! She worked around our busy schedule and set up an appointment that was convenient for us. We had originally planned to take our photos in a field, but another obligation caused us to arrive late and miss the daylight. Therefore, Lisa invited all of us including our two chickens, two rabbits, and three large dogs into her home to have our photo session. Her patience with us and our furry critters was tremendous, and we were quite excited to see the amazing shots she had captured. However, Lisas photography skills and sweet nature didnt end with the last click of our shoot, as afterwards she graciously offered her time to help me choose the layout of the actual card. The resulting card was outstanding, and our family and friends all proclaimed how much they loved it. In the past, Lisa has also taken beautiful ballet portraits of my daughter, demonstrating her superb creative and technical eye. Additionally, Lisa has great skill in live action and has shot several of our studios ballet performances. With action shots, timing and angle is crucial, and Lisa is definitely a natural in understanding both of these aspects. She captures the dancers en pointe and at the height of their movements every time. All in all, Lisa is a wonderful and sweet photographer, and we look forward to using her expertise many times in the future.

Lisa is outstanding. Her work has been such a treat for us. Our family of five has been fortunate enough to have done annual photo shoots for over five years in various San Diego settings including our home and the Balboa Park Desert Garden. Each shoot turns out better than the last. My kids have fun with her, and she is able to pull out their personalities in visually stunning fashion. Thank you Lisa!

lisa photographed my wife's 60th surprise birthday party a coupla years back - over 60 friends showed up - lisa not only photographed happenings, she so clearly captured pj's moment of reckoning when she entered the living room to loud cheers - i've never seen a bigger grin on her face, and today i still get the chills when i look at her many shots- thank you lisa

Wow. I'm stunned... overwhelmed... excited... and so happy! SoulWindow Portraits captured such amazing and diverse moments with the creative settings and locations that Lisa came up with in our outdoor shoot at the San Clemente pier! FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $75/hour with a four hour minimum. I will provide an online digital album for you to download as you wish. I provide access to printing through my website as well but it's not mandatory that you purchase your prints from me.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet ahead if possible and view the venue but it's not necessary. We can exchange emails, texts or talk on the phone. I want to make sure I understand my customers needs and expectations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an avid reader on the subject of photography for both technical skills, latest innovations, composition and post production.
