Karen realy helped me. I have severe back pain and she took the time to gently work through the knots without more pain. I recommend Karen for anyone looking for a relaxing massage. She very convienient and timely as well. Thank You Karen
My husband and I discovered Tom when we moved to Sorrento Valley. We had very intense, stressful desk jobs that resulted in a ton of shoulder/neck tightness. Add to that - tennis, outrigger canoe paddling, and personal training and all of our other outdoor activities - we needed a lot of help! :) Tom has an amazing ability to work out the knots, and also gave us stretches to do at home. I especially like that he starts his massages face up, and he asks you what's bothering you - physically and mentally - and then he works you through it. It's not just massage, it's massage therapy! (No pun intended!) The best part was going on a frequent enough basis, such that he was able to become familiar with the "trouble spots" and knew exactly how to kneed those out. The relaxing feel of the rooms, the soothing music, the salt rock lamps . . . ahhhhh . . . wish I was there RIGHT NOW!
I see David for bodywork on a regular basis. He is so knowledgeable about the body and what's causing any aches and pains - which he is genius at dissipating. I once saw him when I had a headache coming on, and after he worked on my neck, I never got the headache. (If only he was around every time I feel a headache starting!) I always leave my sessions with him feeling blissful, because his combination of Thai massage and working on pressure points just melts the stress. He is also a lovely person, very caring, very easy to talk to about whatever I need him to work on.
Thumbtack is such a great resource and I'm glad I found it. Mela is an outstanding person who really cares about her clients. She is professional and very experienced in her line of work. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to get a great medical massage. She is also a great therapist and she is the best person I have met.
A one hour Massage with Clint made me feel totally wonderful even with my usual nagging back pains.

If this is a modality you are interested in, please let me know, as pricing and session times are different from other modalities. I am a CAMTC certified massage therapist and a certified member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals. I make every session customized based on my client's needs and/or chronic pain. Whether you want a session just for relaxation or a session focused on relieving pain. I specialize in Thai massage and love how it's unlike any other massage, because it is very active yet very relaxing at the same time. I've studied General Thai and Advanced Thai Medical Massage at Wat Po in Bangkok, Thailand. I also am certified in prenatal massage and love giving back to those who nurture and are natural caregivers. List of services I provide: -Table Thai Massage: A very energizing massage, combining pressure point work with a wide variety of stretching movements, gentle rocking and rhythmic compressions applied very slowly. In essence it is a combination of yoga and acupressure. -Traditional Thai Massage: Just like Table Thai Massage, yet it is done on the ground with a mat. -Sensory Repatterning: Working with the client's unique body rhythm, it uses gentle rocking motions and resilience to help encourage all the body's cells to experience freedom and movement. Slow passive joint movement is also utilized to remind the body of the full potential range of motion. -Neuromuscular Therapy: Done by applying concentrated pressure to irritated areas in the tissue, this works to help alleviate pain by releasing trigger points within muscle tissue. -Pregnancy Massage: Available for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters, all modalities can be modified for the comfort and support of the client and her unborn baby. -Deep Tissue Sculpting: Using no oil or lotion, a series of deep compressions where pressure is slowly increased as the muscle tissue relaxes and invites the therapist's hands deeper into the tissue. This work can help release chronic pain and muscle tension. -Swedish Massage: Kneading and long gliding strokes using oil are combined in one of the most relaxing massage modalities. I add this to every session combining it with other modalities for a full body massage.
