Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I focus on achieving the right frame of mind rather then just obedience techniques. Results come quickly with my methods, and I tailor my methods to and for each individual dog and owner team. I don't ask clients to book a package of sessions to achieve their goals-most need me only once. My dynamic group class is run differently than any other, and as you will find from my testimonials, I am always there for my clients to help keep the good results going! No forceful methods, just the right communication and teamwork to achieve what you need, even with long standing issues. Unlike other trainers, my degree and knowledge of human psychology is combined with dog psychology to help heal, create, and strengthen bonds and bridge the gap between the two languages. Dogs always talk to us-- I teach you not only how to listen, but how to talk back. Go to my website and use the links for my Facebook page and my Tumblr where I have dozens of training articles ! The ripple effect! A happy dog-human team brings a world of difference to your life and those around you. It's incredibly rewarding for me to watch the positive changes. So many clients call me in desperation -- I like not only giving them hope but helping their lives change for the better.

Emily is a wonderful behaviorist and a great teacher. I called her because my eight month old mixed breed was starting to get aggressive with other dogs, but only on leash! She was also chasing my cats, and I didn't want to give her away. Emily showed me how to discourage the cat chasing in one visit! Now my dog ignores the cats completely, and no longer has to be leashed around the house. Emily also showed me that I was causing my dog's leash agression by tensing up on the leash and telling her to protect me! Now, my dog can be around other dogs on leash and only get a bit excited. We get tons of compliments about how good she is and I have a stronger relationship with her. Thank you Emily!

From setting a euthanasia date to not being able to live without this dog............ When Emily asked me today to write this review, this is what it went like. Emily (or as I like to call her, the miracle worker): "Would you mind writing me a review on Thumbtack?" Me: "Um, YEAH!, in a heartbeat!" I would do anything for this lady--why? Because she didn't just save my dog's life, she saved my relationship with my husband, she saved my daughter from growing up with traumatixing experiences, and my neighbors like us again. When I first reached out to Emily a couple years ago, we were absolutely desperate. We were living near her and she happened to catch us as we were making a euthanasia appointment. Yup, we had reached the horrible decision to put our dog to sleep because no one woulk take him, my daughter was scared of him, our neighbors hated him, and my husband and I couldn't stop fighting over him. He was bitey. He was destructive. He had no control. He peed in our house. He bit the neighbors. We had sworn to do right by him but had no idea how. So we got a trainer. The trainer made him WORSE. He was forceful and abusive and made my daughter cry just watching his methods with our dog. I still feel guilty. Then we got another trainer. This one claimed to a be a behaviorist. Thirty minutes with our dog and she said his issues were unfixable and he was a done deal. When Emily came to see us, my husband and I probably got in three or four arguments during the session. In front of her. She was amazing. She stayed calm, patient, and helped us with our human issues before she even helped our dog. Then she asked to meet our daughter. We were surprised, as the other two trainers hadn't cared to involve our daughter in the process. Emily explained that our daughter could help us make RexMex (our daughter named him) part of our family again. I don't know how she did it, but RexMex was leashed by her in two minutes without her even saying a word. She never did one forceful method with him. She involved our daughter and within minutes our daughter was excitedly saying "Daddy, mommy look at us!!" That was the beginning of our one and only two hour session. That was it. Throughout the first week we saw instant results. We called her with questions (probably daily) and she kept encouraging us to keep her updated. My husband stopped saying "put the dog in the back" before he came home from work. We started going on dates again because RexMex could be left alone in the house. Our daughter would run into the house from school and say "now remember, Mommy..." and would proceed to remind me of the rules. The second week: We're loving this new change. The third week?? Our neighbors joined us for a walk with their dog, and lo and behold it was amazing. I was TERRIFIED. But I used Emily's "fake it till you make it" techniques of calm psychology and Rexy never faltered. I almost cried at the end. Our neighbors started coming over for dinner. My daughter says Rex is her best friend. It STILL brings me to tears to say this. I don't know what we would do without Rexy in our house, and not only is my husband in love with him, but my neighbor Joe went from "Don't let that dog near me" to "I want a dog just like him!" Emily, you are amazing. You have a gift. I have recommended three or four people to her in my old county now that I've moved, and they all adore her methods and the results. This is no gimmick. She is the real deal. She is a miracle worker and even better, she is affordable! Do yourself and your dog the best thing ever and work with her. You'll never be disappointed and you'll have a better life!!

Our family had tried a couple different trainers with our Great Dane and we just did not feel like it was a good fit for either our canine companion or us. BUT THEN we met Emily Frazier-Thompson "The Dog Listener"! She is incredible and immediately we knew we had found exactly what we were looking for. Intuitively the methods that the "other" trainers used felt wrong. But Emily indeed is the "Listener". She not only listened to our Great Dane but also us as well. In particular I was having a challenge finding someone who would not only have patience with our rambunctious puppy but my rambunctious 11 year daughter to whom the dog belonged. Emily had the utmost patience not only with our puppy but also had ability to transfer a much needed skill set to my daughter as it is her dog. My only issue is that Emily relocated! I guess our loss is your gain. You will find NO ONE better. She is kind, patient and has a genuine love for what she does. What a gift! We absolutely love " The Dog Listener"!🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
