- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?American River College: Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?My grandmother was a phenomenal home-cook. She taught me the science behind cooking, and how to cook with love and passion. As a mom of two hungry kids, I put my skills to use every day. Making healthy food on a budget, that pleased the whole family, was challenging, exciting, and rewarding. With lots of encouragement from family, friends, and lots & lots of guests (who couldn't get enough of my lasagna), I left my degree in Finance to the weekend budgeting, and took the leap into catering and cooking professionally.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I've done everything from self-service buffet-style breakfasts, to in-home brunches with decadent, intricate dishes...dessert services, intimate dinners for 2 with high-end steaks and exquisite sauces and sides, and meal-prep for families that can be ready-to-go at their convenience.
