FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The Experience covers the consultation, styling advice, hair & make-up, posing advice, and the portrait session. We offer a variety of print options including wall art, metal prints, and albums. The best part is, if you do not like any of the photos, you do not have to purchase any! Only pay for what you love. There are package discounts for Shoot & Print packages as well to help you save money.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First, we will have a complimentary consultation to discuss your needs and what you are looking for -- we want to make sure that you get exactly what you want out of the session. I then work with you to create a 'mood board' -- a collection of pictures that help us lock in the type of pictures you want of yourself. On the day of the session, you will come in, have your hair and make-up done, and then we'll create some beautiful portraits together. The reveal session can either be later that day, or we can schedule another time for you to come back and review the pictures. We will discuss what may work best for you and your schedule at the initial consultation.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently worked with a woman who just had a bad break-up. We talked through all the aspects of herself that she really wanted to highlight -- those things that made her feel strong, confident, and sexy. And let me say, she rocked the day of her shoot. We went through a variety of style and portraits to capture her strength, her beauty, and her sensuality. However, the best part for me during a shoot is when the client sees their final print. It's a truly amazing look as they see that beautiful vision of themselves come to life in something that they can hold and feel. Something that does not get lost in the 'cloud'.Something that they can look at everyday and remind themselves of how unique/special/beautiful they truly are. The session lasted a morning, but she'll always have this physicial reminder of the memory that will hopefully last a lifetime. (Note: Actually, the physical reminder will last longer ... all prints from our studio are made using archival processes and should last 500+ years)
