Latest Review: Anthony is awesome. He has great communication, designs tough yet effective workouts, always has a positive, upbeat attitude (even when under the weather!), and he is incredibly supportive! The gym is unique in that it doesn't feel like one of those massive 24 Hour Fitness behemoths that lack in the community department. God's Gym is very community oriented. Everyone supports one another, and it is really nice to see familiar faces every time I'm in the gym. The trainers want you to succeed and are not just in it to collect money. They legitimately want you to reach your goals, and that gets me through the grueling workouts 3 times/week. The equipment might seem obsolete at first glance. However, this is the kind of gym I imagine hardcore, loyal bodybuilding athletes go to train. Rocky Balboa would train at this gym whereas the scary Russian dude would be at Equinox (Rocky wins the fight in the end!). If you are looking for a no-frills, authentic gym experience, God's Gym is definitely a great place to go. I have only been training at this gym, but I look forward to sticking with it in the long run. Plus, they offer multiple training packages for all types, and it's very affordable. I'll see you at God's Gym!

Latest Review: I was looking to do my first triathlon, and needed a trainer that could help me prepare. Evan not only helped me a great deal with the goals I knew I had, he also helped me develop and achieve new ones. His knowledge about training methods, his experience in multiple sports, and his nutrition knowledge are exceptional. These, along with his enthusiasm and professionalism, made every session enjoyable and productive. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer that will support, encourage, and collaborate with them to achieve their fitness goals, and maybe even things they might have otherwise never thought to try! I also appreciated the layout, atmosphere, and cleanliness of his studio. What a great experience!

Latest Review: I've had great results working with Xavier. Prior to working with him, I'd played sports and had some success with programs like P90X. But I didn't really know what to do in a gym, how to put together a good session on my own, or how to avoid injury. Xavier helped me establish a fun, effective workout habit that has persisted through breaks in training. So far I've lost 10 pounds and several inches; I've also learned how to work out for the rest of my life. In addition to his effective methods, Xavier is warm, professional, and communicative. I'm a huge fan. :-)

And Gerard Pommier at Evolutionary Fitness is that guy. He brought me from 260lbs to my goal weight of 221lbs. I lost 39lbs of fat in 6months, training 3 days a week no joke. A's an Ex College football player I highly recommend Gerard Pommier.

Latest Review: I first met Ryan when I joined Weight Warriors, a program that’s offered at Sacramento State’s gym, it’s similar to the Biggest Loser completion. Ryan was the coach for our team. At the time, I was in graduate school and had recently gotten engaged. After looking through our engagement photos, feelings of shame and frustration set in. I was HUGE and I knew there was no way I was walking down the aisle when I looked like that. I was the absolute worst client, I complained all the time, I was a pack a day smoker, and my eating habits were out of control but Ryan never gave up on me. No matter how difficult I was, he continued to push me and was always encouraging. Witnessing his dedication to fitness and commitment to help others meet their goals, made me quickly realize how lucky I was to land a coach like him. Once Weight Warriors ended, I continued taking the classes he taught at the gym. I not only quit smoking, but I lost more than 40 lbs. I was a follower of his functional fitness program until recently when he moved. This spring, I ran my first ever half marathon and Ryan was there to cheer me on the whole way. Ryan is punctual, accommodating, dedicated. He is very knowledgeable about the most beneficial exercises and nutrition for his clients. My life has transformed in so many ways, I feel like I hit the lottery getting Ryan as a coach! If you are looking for great results and want a personalized health plan, Ryan is the trainer for you!

Latest Review: My experience with Rance at Grind Fitness has been only positive. As someone with a tight schedule, I was looking for a way to incorporate fitness into my busy life. I wanted to try something new this year, so I thought I'd scope out the new gym in HMB. I hadn't worked out in a gym since high school. I basically had zero experience with weights and gym equipment when I walked into Grind Fitness for the first time. This did not matter one bit! Rance is very good at what he does. He's been doing this a long time and it's very obvious. Achieving fitness is such a mental endeavor and Rance has made me feel comfortable and motivated as I've pursued my fitness goals. He is genuinely passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping people. I've thoroughly enjoyed his approach to fitness. I never wake up the next day too sore because he incorporates stretching and movement into each session. I have more energy on my Grind Fitness days. After 2 months, I've become stronger and more toned. Never thought I'd like the gym! There is no limit to how far you can take your fitness goals with Rance. He will meet you where you are on day one and work with you to make you as fit as you want to be.
