I was quoted the same price that I have paid for 10 years, but when he arrived he wanted another $200.00 dollars. I hired him anyway as I had already talked with 2 other tree trimmers and just wanted the job done. He and his crew completed all work and cleaned up everything. He was also flexible with a time change that I needed and showed up on time.
He was on time for appraisal and very knowledgeable. He did the work when he said he would and did a great job. He came back and did a walk through just to be sure that we fully got what was expected. 100% would repeat. Tree trimming, hedge removal, bush trimming, sapling removal.
Matt was sent out to trim thick bush on our patio wall and remove some small weeds. He was extremely nice and knowledgeable. He kept asking if it was ok to trim certain parts or if i wanted more cut off, which I appreciated! I felt like I was getting what I wanted not what he thought was ok. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone in need. We will definitely keep using them to maintain our yard
I am beyond happy with white glove lawn services. They came to my rental property and gave me a very reasonable quote on several palm trees and trimming of one huge palm tree. Their work is exceptional. They do my biweekly service and my renters and I couldn't be happier. They are quick on response time to any issues!
Did tree trimming, bush removal, weeding, grass trimming, and sprinkler repair, and removed the debris. They did a lot of work for a reasonable price, good communication, got here when they said they would, and didn't leave too much for me to clean up.
James did a wonderful job on our lawn & bushes. He did extra work at a cost (of course) with our back yard bushes & plants, which makes it look so much cleaner & nicer to look at. I would recommend him for anyone who needs a good lawn service person. Hope to keep him on for all the years at our new home.
Francisco arrived on time and did a great job removing a tree stump and a bush from our yard. He is a very nice guy and had the tools to get the job done in prompt and clean manner. If I need another job like this done again he will be the first one I will call.
Did a great job of trimming our trees at an exceptional price. Also removed bushes after the original job was done. Very fair and honest.
Francisco did a great job at a good price. I am very pleased and will consider him first in my next three trimming project. I contacted 3 trimmers through Thumbtack, Francisco is tops! Many thanks!
Israel charged a fair price for trimming overgrown bushes, clearing morning glories that were taking over other plants, planting a lemon tree for me, cutting and edging the lawn and cleaning up. Everything looked great! He fixed several broken sprinkler heads at no extra charge. I hired him for weekly maintenance and he will be planting ground cover on my hillside in in the couple of months.
I hired Darrel to mow and trim bushes and he did a great job. The bushes came out just how I wanted them. I'm glad I found him on Thumbtack.
Tommy did a good job on trimming the weeds and cleaning up afterwards. We were happy with his services.
In our small patio garden, Aaron pruned trees and bushes, weeded plantings, and cleaned up. He was on time, worked steadily, and completed all tasks in a professional manner. I am pleased with the result.
Robert is a most knowledgeable and artistic landscaper/groundskeeper. He pointed out the sprinkler heads were incorrect and will save us so much money! He also was keen on how to trim bushes to afford a more pleasing landscape without purchasing any shrubs! I have recommended him to our HOA Board based on his knowledge & detailed proposal for work.
I have hired Juan to be a full service gardener and my yard looks great. The gardeners weed, keep bushes and plants trimmed.
We hired Gil to do a first time to get our new yard in shape. The landlord did not maintain the yard as it should be after the last tenants moved out. It looked hopeless to me but Gil came out and turned front and back into the best yard on the block! He trimmed back the rose bushes, weed whacked, mowed, edged and even cleaned out an old brass bucket that had weeds growing out of it. Very nice guy and great job. He quoted us a more than reasonable maintenance fee so we hired him and we couldn't be happier!
Victor and his crew were very professional, respectful, and responsible. My back yard was ugly with a lot of trees, bushes and no grass. I told him to take care of it and use his experience to remodel my back yard the way he thought would be best, and I got to tell you it turned out stunning!!! I absolutely love my backyard. He installed a new irrigation system, he placed sod, cleaned a whole lot, and trimmed and removed some of my trees. I highly recommend SoCal landscaping and tree service not only for their professionalism but also for their reasonable pricing.
I got several quotes from several companies. Some of the others would probably be considered more "professional," with better knowledge of the specific plants I had in mind, or a long-term ecosystem-style approach to planning, or detailed formal top-down landscape architecture designs. But Sunset Gardens gave me one of the most competitive bids, and they were by far the best communicators. I have a large front yard and an even larger back yard. I needed a huge planter full of dead plants removed, the remains of front and back lawns removed and replaced with mulch, four or five trees planted, a variety of drought-tolerant shrubs and flowers added, some tree-trimming, front and back pathways or sidewalks added, and a drip-line irrigation system installed to replace the old "spray as much water into the air as possible" sprinkler system. One company took a few days to get me a bid and wanted $10k for the project (not including the pathways, which I hadn't figured out I wanted yet), but did not listen to any of my specific needs or requests: they were going to do what they thought was right, cheap, and fast without thinking about my long-term goals. Another company wanted $37k (no joke), and while I'm sure they would have done a fine job, I couldn't afford two cars' worth (and half our family's full year's income) for a project whose number one priorities were removing dead plants and planting some trees; they also left a lot of the specifics vague. Sunset Gardens got back to me the day I called, came out that afternoon to look at the property, and got me a quote that evening, for less than $13k, with a lot of the specifics nailed down. (They actually gave me several options in terms of size of trees and width of walkways, with specific prices for every option, allowing me room to customize based on my budget and plans.) Most importantly, they listened to everything I had to say about what I wanted. They shared their knowledge and recommendations where I had no specifics in mind, but they didn't ignore my own ideas or desires. It felt like a collaborative process from the very beginning to the very end. Once they got into it, they recommended removing and replacing several shrubs that were not in great shape, and adding a drain line to get rain water away from where it was pooling near the house and over to the lower end of the yard. These were also not in the original quote, but they pushed this because it was what the yard needed, not for the additional work: for everything beyond the initial bid, they charged me only for the additional materials/plants, not for any of the (extensive) labor. In the end, we had to get a slightly smaller boxed tree than was initially quoted, which saved me $300. The additional materials and plants cost less than that, so the final price ended up lower than quote. The only issue I had on the project was the tree-trimming, which was pretty heavy-handed. They're not arborists or professional tree-trimmers, and they won't climb up high enough to surgically remove just the dead limbs; they topped my sycamores pretty severely (losing me some significant summer shade). If the sycamores are all filled in again by this time next year (two are already starting to), then I'll be very happy. If one of the trees dies, I'd have to drop my review to 4 stars, but everything else about the experience was so good that I couldn't go any further. This is a small family operation (a father and his two sons), but they work _hard_. Some days they went home early; some days they went home _really_ late. They always started promptly around 8am, and they always did a full day's work with significant noticeable progress. They didn't work weekends, but the total project start to finish took less than a month. They cobbled together the plants I wanted and their own recommendations from at least 6 separate nurseries, ranging from Azusa to Orange to closer to my home in Claremont. Their willingness to go out of their way to make sure we were all happy with the finished product was outstanding. We've gotten several comments from friends about how great the new front walkway is, and the back walkway is exactly what I needed for my everyday use; both were done in lovely sweeping curves. Both yards are already a huge improvement over what I had before, but I'm _really_ excited to see it in a year or two, once the trees are providing shade and the one-gallon shrubs and flowers have filled in. They're small now, but already beautiful and attracting butterflies. My wife and I are really happy. I made sure my mom got their contact information so they could get her a quote for her yards in her new house in Upland. She ended up going with them as well, and is hiring them as regular gardeners as well. They finished my project two days ago, just after signing contracts with her, and started work on her yard. My mom says you already wouldn't recognize her front yard.
Love these guys!! Not only were they more affordable than the other three bidders that came out, they were very thorough and professional. I used another tree service company last time I had my trees trimmed several years ago, and they weren't as thorough as these guys and almost twice as expensive! I have two 150' pine trees in my backyard that were creating too much shade on the back part of my house/patio. We wanted to make certain they were thinned to lesson our concerns during a wind storm. These guys went all the way up and gave these bad boys a really good haircut! Theres so much more light on our patio (though how can one really tell during these cloudy days?) They look much better from the street. Marco came out to give me a bid and explained the process. Then on the day of service, the crew, lead by Forrest (great name for a tree trimmer, right?) got started promptly at 8:30 and was done setting up (which included covering all my recently planted annual flowers with speed cones and moving all my patio furniture), cutting, chipping and FULL clean-up (which included moving all my furniture back, raking and blowing) within 2 hours. I couldn't be more happy with the results and their A-1 service!! These guys are professional, courteous, respectful and friendly. I will definitely have them out in the fall to trim the other trees on my property.
