Introduction: My name is Jill Isaacs and I am a former WTA Pro. I am currently a USPTA certified tennis professional with over 25 years of extensive experience teaching tennis to juniors and adults of all ages and skill levels, from beginning to advanced.
As a top USTA nationally ranked junior, I was trained by some of the top coaches in the world, including Robert Lansdorp (former coach of Tracy Austin and Lindsey Davenport), Pancho Segura (former coach of Jimmy Connors), and Alex Olemedo (1958 French Open Champion), and lastly at the Nick Bolletiere Tennis Academy In Florida.
I was ranked in the top 20 in both Southern California and nationally in all four age groups between 10 and 18. In my last year in the 18 and under division, I was ranked 17th nationally. I also played on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior world circuit.
I received a full tennis scholarship to a Division 1 college, the University of Pacific Stockton California.
After graduating, I went on to play professionally on the WTA Tour for 3 1/2 years. One of my career highlights was playing in the qualifying at the French Open.
My coaching experience includes the following:
-Allen Fox Tennis Academy (Pepperdine University) for junior players
-Nike and Adidas junior training camps at USC (under Dick Leach, the USC Coach), UCI, Racket Club of Irvine
-City of Irvine and City of Newport (private and group lessons for 8 years)
-John Newcomb Tennis Academy
I really enjoy working with all ages and skill levels, but especially enjoy developing junior talent. I have a very patient, encouraging, fun, enthusiastic and motivating teaching style. I make every lesson a fun and positive experience. I incorporate many of the same fundamentals, in-depth techniques, stroke production, footwork, and strategies I have learned from my extensive training that I've received over the years.
I am very passionate about playing and teaching tennis. and I truly enjoy sharing my love of the game with my students.:. The most rewarding aspect of being a coach is watching all of my students and players skills develop, grow in confidence, and achieve their goals.
