I have been training with Felipe since 2010. Before I started training with him, my workouts only consisted of high-intensity cardio kickboxing. After training with Felipe, I realized that while I was fit, I was not strong. Now I get a great mix of cardio and strength training. One of my goals was to be able to do a pull-up on my own. Now I'm strong enough to do 5 in a row! I love the workouts that Felipe creates. Every day is different and he is constantly adding new things to keep it interesting. His workouts can consist of hitting a tire with a sledge hammer, pushing a car in a parking lot, lifting weights, or TRX exercises. And that's just a sampling of it. It changes all the time. He is also a big believer in having correct form. Doing the workout correctly is more important to him than how many reps you can do. While I am known for training athletes, I am best known for providing my Fatfighter Semi-private training programs. I prove a safe and affordable way to lose weight, get strong and lead a healthy lifestyle. My programs are simple--1. You show up to all your workouts, 2. You follow your nutritional counseling and recommendations, 3. You get results! I provide private training (by appointment $85/hr) and fat fighter semi-private training (at $200/month depending on location). My semi-private training is at MWF and Sa 5:30 am, 6 am and 7 am (4 x/week) at Spartan MMA in San Jose (I am in the process of moving to a brand new facility this year and will post when it is ready!). My semi-private training sessions are $200 per month so your average cost is approximately $12.50 - $25 per session (depending on the location you choose to train). You will not find the attention to detail and value I provide at any other training program. Contact me for full pricing information per location. My clients have toned up, lost weight and are stronger. Once we have achieved your goal weight, we will continue to work to maintain and improve your strength, cardio, agility and more. I am a stickler about proper bio-mechanics and form and follow NASM protocols. I will design your program to be fun, supportive and challenging, while burning maximum fat, in minimum time. I will use my exclusive training regimen which includes the 4 essentials of fitness --resistance, cardio, core stabilization, and flexibility to design a specific program for you. If you follow the program I design for you--which means -- show up to all of your workouts and follow your nutrition counseling and other recommendations, you will get that toned, lean and healthy body you want (if there are any medical restrictions or conditions, results may be slower--but I am innovative and can help folks with serious med conditions like MS, COPD and more). The semi-private sessions are just like private sessions and you are expected to attend all your sessions each week. Your space is reserved for you and the sessions are limited in participation so there is no overcrowding and it allows me to provide you with individual attention. I also routinely encourage clients to participate in competitions that appeal to them and I set up challenges to keep them motivated and interested in a fitness lifestyle. I am very results driven and while I can also train you privately, I would rather provide you with a more affordable semi-private alternative so that you can have more training sessions. Many of my clients will tell you it is the best part of their day! There is no intimidation in our groups, just hard work for all sizes, shapes, confidence and ability levels. I have clients of all levels from beginners to very advanced athletes working out in the same training session and everyone is working at the level that is best for them. My current clients range from 18 - 73 years old. You can be strong, healthy and in good shape no matter what age you are! Also, at some of the locations I train, the training is in bare feet. While you can train in mat shoes, I prefer to have you gain the strength and improve your overall posture and mobility using what you were born with--your bare feet! I provide traditional Goju Ryu karatedo training, with a blend of modern science and drills from the US Olympic training center and the US National Karate team. Our style is very heavy on conditioning the body and mind. We start with join rotations, warm ups, dynamic stretches, basic punches and kicks, partner and pad drills, forms, kumite, and then a cool down. What makes us different is that we focus only on a few items in each class and carry it through various applications; quality training is more important than quantity.
