Introduction: I am Rey Tostado. I have been trained modalities in Japan and the US for the following: * shiatsu massage * lomi-lomi * reflexology I have 18 years of practical experience overseas and stateside. Shiatsu was developed in Japan, and is a finger-pressure technique that utilizes traditional acupressure points along the body to enhance the proper flow of energy and restore balance. This allows the body to activate the self-healing properties already present. Lomi-lomi was fist used by Kahunas and Shamans of the Hawaiian islands for the purpose of deep tissue bodywork for warriors and royalty. The technique includes broad flowing strokes using elbows and forearms for increased pressure. The lomi-lomi technique allows the muscles to secrete the toxins into the bloodstream to be eliminated. This has a cleansing and healing effect. The cross-fiber and friction methods of this ancient healing art are critical in lymphatic drainage and stimulating circulation.
