What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a customer arrives at the shop, we discuss what problem(s) they maybe having with their computer. We offer to diagnose the problem while they watch and can give input. Once we have determined the issue(s), we offer an opinion about repair and the cost.

US Army trained electronics equipment repairman
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Started as a hobby, liked it, kept doing it, people found out... next thing you know, I had a full time business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Virus/malware removal is the most common software repair made in the shop. Most repairs are completed within 24 hours, some repairs can be done while you wait.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
TV repair, it was outside my comfort zone. However I diagnosed the problem, ordered the repair part, put it in and the TV now works flawlessly.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask for references, and certifications.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Is the cost of repair more than the value of their computer?
