Introduction: Peter Rutledge here from Pete's In & Outdoor Catering. I've been catering with grilled foods for 20 + years. I really enjoy meeting people and watching them enjoy the food that I've just prepared. I have catered weddings, anniversaries, back yard BBQ's, company picnics and more. I'm proud of the work that I do and enjoy every minute of it. All the food that I prepare is homemade with a down home flavor that you can't get everywhere. I think my customers enjoy my work too. I can tell by the great reviews I've received from them and I'm very proud of that. I believe in giving people good quality food and service no matter how large or small the gathering with no cutting corners. I have a great passion for cooking and believe that every customer should get the best a caterer can give with no exceptions. A caterer should do everything in their power to help make the customer's event the best it can be by providing the best quality product and service he/she can give. I believe when a caterer start backing off on the quality of service and the quality of the product he/she is serving and giving, it is time for them to stop catering and find something else to do. Meeting people and watching them enjoy the food that I just prepared is the BOMB!! The comments I get from them, makes me want to learn even more about my profession. We hired Pete to cater our wedding this past September, this guy is nothing short of FANTASTIC! If you don't hire him for your event you are out of your mind plain and simple. Not only is he probably the sweetest guy ever but you can tell by his cooking and service that he truly enjoys what he does. He is more then reasonably priced, quick to respond, he's food is of the highest quality, incredibly delicious and fresh. He is so accommodating, we had requested he make us loaded mash potatoes, something he had never made/offered before, they were honestly the BEST mash potatoes I've ever had. I myself am not really a big meat eater, we had went with the BBQ chicken and Tri-Tip. OMG cooked to perfection. My only wish is that I could have had more(we had guests going back for thirds!) The green beans are a must we had so many compliments! I'm trying to think of other events for us to host just so we can hire Pete again. Thank you SOOO much Pete! -Anthony & Kassandra

Pete's catering is fantastic. My wife and I had three things we really wanted at our wedding, good food, good people, and good music. We had the opportunity to have him cater our wedding, and our guests and ourselves couldn't have been more satisfied with his food! His ribs and chicken were cooked to perfection, and his sides were delicious! We had guests going back for seconds and thirds! Not only is Pete an excellent cook, but his is an amazing man too! He is friendly, flexible, and genuine. His prices were great and his food even better, if you are planning a catered event and you want BBQ, Petes catering is your man!

From the moment we contacted Pete he was on top of things. We planned a wedding rehearsal dinner for approximately 100 people at an outdoor venue. Pete stayed in contact with us over a period of weeks during the planning process. He couldn't have been more helpful with creative ideas and had a calming effect on us. The day of the event we met for the first time. He came up the driveway in a shiny SUV pulling an impressive BBQ. He prepped all afternoon and was ready to serve at the appointed hour. His appetizers were delicious especially the chicken wings. The highlight of the dinner was Pete's slow-cooked beef and succulent chicken breast. There were irresistible desert ranging from cakes and cookies to Tarts and cheesecake. Pete had promised we wouldn't be disappointed and he delivered! Thank you, Pete, for giving the bride and groom, the family and all our close friends a very special evening. Several of the guests, who attended, said he would be their "go to" caterer in the future.

Pete’s In and & Outdoor Catering was the perfect choice for my wedding caterer! He made fantastic and delicious food that all of my guests raved about. Pete had great communication throughout the planning process, even during the COVID-19 pandemic. Although a situation did arise and he was late to the start of the reception, he handled it very professionally and made up for it with his exceptional customer service. Pete’s prices for food, beverage, and service are reasonable, and my catering experience with him exceeded my expectations. If you book him, you will not be disappointed!

We chose Peet for our wedding this last May 2021 and could not have made a better decision. Peet was always so helpful with everything from helping with planning the menu to the excellent service during our reception. We had chicken breasts, tri-tip, southern greens, mashed potatoes, pilaf, and a side salad and everything was absolutely delicious. As Peet had told me when I first met him, the meat will be falling off the bone and it definitely did not disappoint. We had guests coming up to us asking for his information because the food was absolutely amazing. Thank you Peet for catering our wedding and being the absolute best caterer.

I pull a new recipes from the internet form time to time learn what's new in the cooking world.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was a young boy, my mom would leave the house and come back and find the kitchen in a mess. The first person she would call was me. She knew I had a great interest in the kitchen and from time to time showed me how to make a lot of different dishes. After a while she would call me to help her cook dinner and special meals because she knew that I liked to cook and wanted to learn. I just regret that I didn't learn all of her secrets. She was a great cook.
