Bought three months worth of bass lessons for my husband on his birthday, and he loves his new instructor! Paul is great and patient. My husband had his first lesson, and he already knows he will learn a lot from Paul. Thank you, Paul! He's one happy man...that makes me his one happy wife!
Great Teacher! His playing demonstrates a profound knowledge of his instrument. Whether hes teaching you new techniques, chords and inversions, different styles of playing, or the basics of music theory, the lessons are presented in a way tangible to the student. He is better than any guitar player I've seen, so he can take you to the next level if you are already good, or he can help you as a beginner like me.
Paul is a great guitar teacher i'd highly recommend. I have been taking lessons from him for a little over a year now and has made me significantly better. He has a great understanding of music and makes playing the bass something that i have come to enjoy. if you are looking for a good guitar (and bass) teacher, Paul is the guy to go with.
Best music lessons around! James is so patient and positive in a warm environment and is VERY talented with what he does. He has his own system for teaching his students at any age. I highly would recommend Peaceland Music for guitar, bass, drums and piano! You go in for a lesson and always leave feeling inspired. 😎✌️
Beginner electric bass guitar lessons, 1 hour per week, at Rancho Canyon Music. I have been taking lessons with Lou for two months. Lou is an experienced, knowledgeable, and patient instructor. Additionally, he is personable and has a good sense of humor which makes the lessons fun. Lou finds ways to easily relate a theory or technique to you in everyday terms. He is a formally trained musician who performs regularly for audiences. His training and regular performing, coupled with his teaching techniques makes him my first choice for music instruction. Lou arrives on time and is ready begin working with you, evidence he values your time as well. Lou goes above and beyond for his students by providing in class resources, useful online content, and instructional online videos. All of which I have found helpful and not readily found in other music instructors. Lou can quickly analyze what is happening and provide you with helpful input to help you understand and improve. It is clear to me Lou understands the teaching process. He explains things in a logical order, using building blocks of learning. I would highly recommend Lou to all of my family and friends. An hour lesson is filled with easily digestible information and practical application. My understanding and enjoyment of playing my bass guitar has been energized working with Lou.
I have been a student with Kimberly for ten years. I have been taking blues guitar lessons from her weekly. Kim is extremely professional. She tailors her teaching to the students interest and playing style. She is very patient and often goes the extra mile to help students progress. I have been a dedicated student because of this. I have had the pleasure of playing guitar with some of her other students in ensemble classes who all give her praise for the way she conducts business and teaches her classes. I highly recommend Kimberly Allison of Starliner music to anyone wishing to develop their skills in music.
Guitar lessons. Music theory. Song transcriptions. A knowledgable and easy going guy who obviously loves what he does. Very patient, he will teach at your pace. He customizes your lessons to suit you as an individual. I leave excited to go home and practice what I have learned. You can't go wrong.
I wanted a teacher that could work with an older adult who not had piano lessons since childhood. After many years, I wanted to challenge myself by getting back into piano and I wanted to bring music back into my life. I was a bit nervous about making the commitment and about the time investment that would be required. I also didnt know a good teacher so I asked around. Howards name came up. He was recommended as a patient and knowledgeable teacher that would do wonders with students. Howards approach is not the conventional one that I experienced as a child. He presents many types of approaches and uses lots of tools and techniques to build your skills and understanding of the structure of music. Now, Im stretching myself to learn, remember and apply these skills and it feels really good! I actually enjoy practicing my piano. Now thats a testimony to Howards influence! If you are looking for a teacher that can accommodate your needs, encourage and inspire you, meet Howard and try him out. Im confident that you will be very pleased with him as a professional and as a teacher.
Working with mark is a great oppertunity for beginners intermediates and experts alike. His knowledge of jazz, flamenco and classical guitar can influence metal and traditional rock performers. Being a indie folk musician i learned chord structure and different scales that helped my intermediate skills.
I studied music theory, improvisation and technique for Jazz piano with Dory for about 3 years. His deep musical knowledge and talent allowed him to teach me exactly what I wanted to learn and more. Dory taught me the perfect amount of Jazz theory for me to understand how music works, instead of just memorizing music. His approach was for me to be able to sit with any tune and globally apply my knowledge as opposed to just learning one tune, or one key. All the complex musical theory and technique was broken down and compartmentalized such that I could grasp and learn each concept in just a half an hour session with him. I learned something new in each session, granted that I put in the proper amount of practice on my own time. Thanks to Dory, I am continuously developing my style, I have played numerous live Jazz gigs, and I play in a Rock/Blues band.
Great guitar instructor who teaches you notes, different strumming techniques, picking, how to read music and is a wealth of knowledge on music of all kinds and is very personal and will adjust to what you would like to learn. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone wanting to learn guitar or master it.
Really glad I discovered this site. Without it, I wouldn't have discovered Dave. He's a real down to Earth kind of guy with an excellent background in bass and adaptable teaching styles for any level of student!
I meet him at his little studio for about half hour, went over my goals I had as a bass player no Charge. Im a 50 year old man who's been tring to learn bass. Have lots of books and computer aids like songster,Ultimate guitar pro,ect.. . He found my main weekness and started to work on it. In 4 weeks i have learned more than i have in 3 years. His lessons are fun and very informative. Highly recommend Evan Chudnow very professional. If you want to learn bass you need a teacher, books alone and computer aids don't cut it. I should have gotten myself a teacher 3 years ago instead of spend money on books and computer aid. There no substitution like having a good teacher and having the satisfaction of seeing Progress in such a short time. Thanks Evan !!
Jasper is one of the premier talents I've had the pleasure of recording. When I wanted to brush up on my bass skills he was the obvious choice. Patient and disarming, he's a wonderful instructor. Armed with a deep understanding of the mechanics of music, he can score (a disappearing art among modern players) and perform technically at the highest level, yet his most compelling skill remains his taste. I recommend anyone with access to his talent as an instructor to seize the opportunity.
Steve has the patience and knowledge of someone who really likes what he does. He's a excellent musician and songwriter as well, so when he teaches he demonstrates his technique. I haver never heard of anyone not liking Steve's lessons. My daughter plays bass and Steve took her to an advanced level. now she rocks! Thanks.
I heard Brett perform with a group of musicians who were jamming and improvising. I was so impressed with what Bretts part added to the group that I looked him up later and asked if he gave guitar lessons. Inhad been looking for someone who could teach me to improvise. I was stoked to find that not only did he teach, but he worked at a music school as well. I was thrilled to be able to study with him, and amazed at all the stuff I had never been taught ( I've been playing for many years). He is incredibly patient, and has a very succinct and easy to understand was of explaining the theory part of the lessons. In only a few lessons my repertoire of tricks has gone up substantially and I look forward to more lessons.
Bobby John is a great teacher. He was able to recognize my intermediate skill level and appropriately design lessons tailored to my ability. We are currently working on multiple strum / picking patters as well as some theory working toward a goal of learning Jazz and Blues guitar. His unique teaching style is great because it is both fun and rewarding.
Great skills to teach. Friendly way to communicate. Perfect sence of humor. Strongly recommended. Rouben Sekoyan, Paralegal.
Have known Keith for about 25 years. Super musician and singer. By himself, or with his group, you won't find a better source for musical entertainment.
