FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
By law I am required to take 20 hours of continuing education on TAX subjects each year. On average I take 90 hours of tax continuing education each year and teach another 30 hours each year.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
While I do tax preparation during the season, and stay full up on the current tax laws through education and teaching, I spend most of my time representing taxpayers before the IRS and the U.S. Tax Court. Everyone needs someone on their side against the IRS. I am happy to be that person.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Be sure they are licensed by the Department of Treasury, the Board of Accountancy, or the state Bar. Make sure they have the experience to help in your specific situation. You also want someone with experience in the area of your need. As an example I am licensed to practice in all areas of the Department of Treasury. I am an Enrolled Agent. I am also licensed to practice in front of the U.S. Tax Court so I can handle your issues through that level of the legal system. I prepare and defend individual tax returns, corporate returns and partnership returns. I also have experience with nonprofits and payroll taxes.
