Ed was great! He was super communicative from the start and he worked quickly. He could have easily taken advantage of first time home buyers, but he didn’t. He fixed our issue and we’ll use him if we ever need an electrician again!

Edward is very friendly and professional. He hung 3 heavy mirrors in my living room securely and with precision. He was knowledgable with materials and techniques in getting the job done in the best way possible and I am satisfied with the outcomethe mirrors look great! He also reinforced a loose curtain rod for me and noticed other little improvements that could be made around my home. I will definitely be using him again.

I hired Edward to install a wall ac unit in my home office. I originally ordered the wrong item but he still honored his original quote and told me to call when i got the new unit. One week later and Mr. Punctual was eager to get the job done! On time, professional, knowledgeable and easy to welcome into your home I would highly recommend Eddie to anyone needing his services - I'll be for sure calling him again!

Edward did an outstanding job on my home. He was actually a blessing in disguise! After completing the original job and being so happy with the outcome I decided to have him change out some additional lighting with LED spotlights to highlight my artwork and he found one of the lights had been burned and could have potentially started a fire in my attic...Couldn't be happier with his service and the outcome of the overall job!! I'm so pleased he was apart of the Thumbtack family of services...

Edward Torres is a true professional. The caliber of his work will speak for itself. He installed recessed lighting for me and the quality of the lighting he recommended, as well as his work is second to none. Upon prompt arrival he went over the layout of the lighting with me, measuring it precisely. He also let me inspect the hardware he was going to install to make sure i was satisfied with it ( which i definitely was because he only uses the highest of quality materials unless you otherwise specify). He laid out the location of the lights on the ceiling for me to view and approve prior to making any cuts or drilling any holes. Ed is so pleasant and easy to work with. Once he began the install he was operating like a well oiled machine. He made it look so easy even thought there were wires and fixtures coming out of the ceiling everywhere. I could tell he had done this many many times before. In the end Mr Torres installed 5 recessed light, 2 adjustable lights, 2 separate dimmer switches, and even (recommended and ) ran an extra wire in my ceiling ( as he was forward thinking) to where i might one day want to install a ceiling fan. The true professionalism, knowledge, and expertise of Mr Torres derives from his passion of the trade and 2 decades of experience in the business. He is a licensed and bonded professional as well as a U.S. Army Veteran who has served in combat defending our great country. He is a man that truly cares and stands behind his work. He has core values in his life that are evident. Integrity, excellence, and commitment are a few choice words i'd use to describe Mr. Torres and his work ethic. I would definitely recommend Edward Torres to do electrical work for my family or friends. I plan on using him again. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a standard. Every job is different. I normally don't charge for estimates, if I get the job.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get to know my customers. I inform them of all the choices they have, I like to give them ideas so they can better determine the outcome of their work. I inform them of trending materials, such as, wifi connected switches that work with their phones. hardwired "Ring doorbells" as opposed to rechargeable or battery powered. Security is very important know a days, so I explain to them how having motion sensor switches help by turning lights on as your pet travels through the house. This way, I makes would be assailants think that someone is home. (These are essential, now that we all work farther from home) I have motion activated switches at my house, and I get calls from my neighbors, telling me they are at the door and thought I was home because certain lights are on. See, I did I little informing there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All the time. I'm an expert pipe bender, high voltage cable splicer, instrumentation and PLC's, CAT IV and CAT VI, running and terminating. I also do Camers systems, Electric gate openers and I great at trouble shooting AC systems.(when your condenser is not running, its usually not motor failure. its capacitor failure. call me so I can take a look and save you thousands of dollars.) we have to have a minimum of 32 hours of schooling, every 3 years, to renew our licenses.
