Dina was a great dance instructor and very friendly. My fiancé and I took private dance lessons for our first dance. My fiancé had very little dance practice but she helped both of us perfect our skills for our big day. We didn’t feel pressured nor judged of our skills. Highly recommend any couples seeking lessons. We looked forward to our weekend lessons. Thanks!!

I don't recall now how I found Desiree but I'm so glad I did! My fiancee did NOT want to do a choreographed wedding dance, but I wanted to have at least part of the dance memorized so we knew when the transitions and dips were. We had a few lessons with Desiree, perhaps at least 5, and Desiree was super welcoming, friendly, and easy to work with. We easily got along with her, which made being her students that much easier. We had a say into how the dance would look like and she styled it with an expert's eye. My fiancee and I had taken salsa classes at CCSF so we were a little bit better than beginners. She took what the moves that he knew and worked with it. We had picked a song we both liked but it had faster beginning so she taught us Bachata and transitioned into Salsa. She also edited the song for us so that the DJ could pay the clip at the wedding. During our class, she took videos with us so that we could watch it later and see how we could improve. She also helped us with the entrance into the room and the ending. I would definitely recommend her!

Daniel is so great. We took beginner's salsa lessons. Daniel is a consummate professional - reliable, communicative, knowledgeable, patient, good-natured, flexible, funny, and versatile. He was equally good at explaining things to me in dance terms and to my (beginner) boyfriend using analogies that felt more accessible to him. We made a surprising amount of progress in a short time, and Daniel was super understanding when we barely practiced between lessons, helping us catch back up and still make progress every lesson. Daniel is also just a really chivalrous person and really brings the politesse of being a good dance partner into the lesson. Highly recommend getting a package of lessons with Daniel. It's a good value and those extra few lessons can take you from just-the-basics to having a reasonable set of moves that you can build on and improvise from.

Taylor was an AMAZING dance instructor! We used her for our 1st dance for our wedding and could not have had a better experience. Taylor is an unbelievably skilled and patient instructor. We were complete beginners, yet with Taylor's expertise, ended up with a fantastic dance routine. Taylor's vision is fresh, fun, and unique and you will be left with anything but a typical wedding dance routine. We cannot recommend her enough!

My partner and I took dance lessons from Justin for about a year and a half. In the course of 20+ lessons, he took our rudimentary understanding of dance to a competitive level. I always felt like he was sensitive to our comfort level and made very complex styles and moves accessible to us. Few teachers have an understanding of club, international and competitive dance styles in the way that Justin does. He is a gifted, patient and extremely fun teacher.

How much do dance lessons cost?

Adults who want to learn to dance, whether to prepare for a wedding or to meet new people, often enjoy taking dance lessons from an experienced dance instructor. Instructors may offer classes one-on-one to individual students or couples, or to small groups. The national average cost for a dance instructor ranges from $30 to $50. Some studios offer a discounted introductory lessons or group lessons, as well as package deals that are more affordable than paying for individual lessons.
